In the land of Eldid amongst it's flowing rivers and dense jungles sat the city of Stetsven. Stetsven was an average city filled with winding alleys and grand towers. The voices of stall vendors and the clattering of hooves on the cobblestones creating a harmony of productivity that all cities tend to have. The city watch in their shiny armor and glistening spears exuded an aura of safety letting the people know the dangers from outside stayed outside.
Our story follows a young mage who from a very young age had studied day after day night after night for many years to pass the exam put forth by the wizarding college. See magic is in all things. Bringing life, working tiny miracles, from a caterpillar taking to the sky to seeing the ebbs and flows of time. And many people can manipulate this in small ways such as creating light or finding lost items. However there are those who can use magic to do greater things. Changing the paths of hurricanes or preventing earthquakes. Ones capable of this strong of magic are called wizards and wear floppy hats as a symbol of status and loyalty to the college. The college teaches all magic users who wish it and those able to pass the grueling tests are awarded the status of wizard and the hat is given. Each wizard is given one hat during their lives it is as much a part of them as their own hands. Many enchant it to enhance their skills or store their many books.
The young wizard is fixing his robes making sure they are in perfect accordance with the college regulations
"Improper robes would be grounds for dismissal can't have that." The mage said aloud.
"All these years would be for nothing."
Looking in the mirror and inspecting the blue garment closely making sure the seams are perfectly rested on his small shoulders before sending a tiny spark along his robes to rid them of even the smallest speck of dust.Pleased with himself he set off towards the meeting hall he tried to clear his mind. The thoughts were racing through his mind. Today was the day he had been striving for so many years. He would finally graduate
Today was the day he'd get his hat.
