Steve's POV
It had been almost three hours since the hole Will Lucas incident. Stacey has been in surgery for the past hours. A doctor came out and said "Family of Stacey McGarrett?" "That's me. How is she?" "She's fine for now. But her spleen was badly bruised and it started to bleed. But unfortunately she arrested on the table a 4 times and the lack of oxygen to her brain might cause some injuries." "What? Which injuries?" "Speaking may be harder, she can lose her hearing but most of all and what I'm most afraid of is that she can be paralysed from the waist down." I couldn't believe what the doctor had just said. Paralysed? Difficulties with speaking? Might loose her hearing? "Thanks, when can I see her?" "Well she will wake up in about a half hour, I can ask a nurse come and get you then?" "Yeah, sure thanks." I walked back to the waiting room and just sat down in a chair and let the tears I didn't even know i had been holding in fall. I sat with my head in my hands who were resting on my knees, so I didn't notice my team come in to the room.
Danny's POV
When I saw Steve sit with his head in his hands I thought the worst had happens. I walked up to him with Kono and Chin right behind me. "Hey Steve." He looked up and I could see the tears going down his face. I had never seen Steve McGarrett cry and I have known him for 6 years. "Is- Is Stacey dead?" "No, but the doctor said because she arrested 4 times on the table her brain might not have gotten enough oxygen and she might loose her hearing, have difficulties with speaking and the doctor seems to think that she will be paralysed from the waist down." Before I could say anything a nurse walked in and said "Steve McGarrett?"
Steve's POV
"That's me." "Come with me and I'll show you to your daughters room." We all followed the nurse and she led us to a quiet ward. Also known as the ICU. We were now standing next to Stacey and she laid there so peaceful and it would have looked like she was just sleeping if the tubes that were coming out of her and all of the bruises weren't there. I took a hold of her hand and said "Come on Stacey. You have to wake up. We are gonna do lots of fun together and we are gonna be a family." I felt her hand squeezing mine just a little bit and then her eyes fluttered open. "Dad?"
