Since the origin of Vampires in the Dark Ages- thus the name King and Queen of Darkness- they have evolved.
They started off not being able to go into the sun, drinking only mortal's blood. They were incredibly fast and strong and they could transform into bats. They also would sleep in coffins.
In Modern times, Vampires drink both animal and mortal blood, they still are incredibly fast and strong- may be even more. They also can no-longer transform into bats yet they can go out in the sun and interact with humans. They sleep in bed, as a connivance because they no longer make coffins.
Five generations of my family have been ruling the vampiric thrown. Ever since the origin of Vampires, my family has ruled the thrown, we control rogue vampires and all those who disobey... well they don't live to tell...
My mother had seven children. Four boys, three girls. The eldest is 1,000 years of age, youngest being only 300 years. I was 640 or so, you stop counting after a while... due to getting tedious.
My eldest brother was 1,000 this year- or so we think. He has a wife and two children, being married that young is uncommon for vampires. Usually we marry at about 2,000. But he loved her and so my father allowed it, barely. My eldest brother was Arthur; he had maroon hair and green eyes with lighter green flecks. He had tanned skin, because he went out in the sun often, and freckles all over his face.
I was 5"7 and had incredibly straight, blonde hair. I had deep water blue eyes with sky blue flecks in them. I had red lips, even without lipstick. I had excellent curves and really long legs. I was different from everyone else, they killed both animals and humans, I just killed humans- I know, but they taste way better than animals. It's like eating a lollipop (Human) to eating an apple (animal.) There is a clear difference in blood.
Everyone feared the vampiric thrown, we had hundreds of guards, they could kill a vampire within two seconds and we had some of the fastest vampires on our side and strongest.
Enough about the Vampiric thrown back to the story.
