The Crooked Man

Let's start off this adventure with things that can kill or harm you. (Fun right?) I must warn you, they more than likely do not work, but don't underestimate them. You might pay for it dearly. Here you go.

There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile

He found a crooked experience upon a crooked stile

He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse

And they all lived together in a little crooked house

He met a crooked woman and he found a crooked preach

They had a crooked marriage on a crooked little beach

They had some crooked children and and they lived a crooked life

The crooked man, the cat, the mouse, the children and the wife

They were happy for a number of crookedly long years

Lived a life of crooked happiness, no worries and no fears

Until one day the crooked wife good upset the crooked man

He yelled a crooked yell and then he hit her and he ran

The crooked came again at the stroke of twelve

That was when their crooked life became a living hell

There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile

And when he killed his wife and kids, he smiled a crooked smile.

             Coming back on this at a much later date, I have came to a realization that I haven't told you everything about this demented poem. "The Crooked Man" was a nursery rhyme of unknown origin, unknown to me on that matter, that was somewhat popular between nurses to sing to the children. Or at least legend has given it such back story, but who would cheerfully tell such a sick tale to innocent newborns.
                 Now to the effects of the rhyme. Yes, as previously stated, this is allegedly cursed and may have certain effects and cause something to happen the reader. These range from unfortunate mishaps to seeing hunted and slaughtered by the "Crooked Man", as seen in the Anime RPG and the 2016 horror movie airing on the channel SyFy during the October of that year. Both absolute must haves for you gore lovers. But, I should mention that the only way for these effects to take place is if you read this aloud.
            For those who have read aloud this in the past and are reading this now, congrats! You have proven these legends to be fake! Or, which you can't help but wonder, maybe the worst part hasn't happened yet? Maybe you're being stalked right now, moments away from your demise. What an unfortunate fate you have now, living in fear. See you when the sun comes up, or not...
