After exiting the van, I started wondering to myself, why did they ask me to come back stage and act so strange when we walked in? But the thought only lasted a second before the overwhelming feeling of love, happiness and anxiety all flooded my body.

Not only did I not tell my friends where I went, but now I couldn't find my phone to call them. Maybe I left it on stage? But it was now cover in security guards and groupies packing everything up. I was lucky enough that I had just enough change in my bra for a taxi.

Finding the first taxi parked awaiting someone's arrival, I ran over and asked if it was taken, but the old gray bearded man inside said he was waiting for the lady in the blue sundress to finish her cigarette. He called my another cab and told me they would be 10 minutes.

Time passed, the old man and blue sundress girl left and the sun started to go down. It had been atleast 20 minutes and my ride hadnt arrived. There was a attractive looking guys just across the road parked in a no parking space, on the phone to someone. I decided I would ask him some directions and just start walking back to the motel.

I was never one of those confident, outgoing girls that knew exactly what to say and when to say it, but It was starting to get dark and this was probably my only choice.

As I started walking across the road in my sandles, I caught my toe on a road sticking out of the street and tripped. The man in the car, who seemed to be only in his late teens, jumped out and ran over to help me up. Kindly, he brushed off my knees and smiled.

"You ok love?" he asked in a strong Irish accent. I managed to node my head but I felt dizzy with emarrasment.

" You need a lift somewhere? It's gettin' pretty dark. Don't want to see you pretty little face on the news paper because some creep got hold of ya'"

"ahh just, if you could tell me the way to brightside motel?"

The man sort of just stared at his car, still with his hand on my arm to steady me as if I was going to trip again.

"Sir?" I asked in a small voice. But within a moment his face turned from friendly to as dark as the night itself was threatening to turn. Suddenly scared and a little dizzy again I pulled away to try and release his grip, but he grabbed hold with both hands and yanked me close to him. Suddenly it seemed like the sunset wasn't enough light for someone to see and It was all to dark.

I screamed like it was the only thing I knew how to do. The man pushed me to the ground and growled in my ear telling me to shut it. I felt warm liquid start to run down my face and realised, with enormous pain, that he had broken my nose. I tried to scream again but as my mouth opened, a rag covered in terrible smelling liquid was shoved in my face and my legs started to melt away. Closer to the ground I fell, but before my vision went black, I saw a tl figure run up behind my attacker and that was that. Black. Black was all I saw for what felt like forever.
