A pair of violet eyes opened and stared up at the blue sky. A girl lay on the beach of an unknown ocean. The girl sat up, confused. The last thing she remembered was standing in her small apartment having a conversation with her boyfriend. Their conversation seemed meaningless now that she was alone. She had pushed all of her family away and now she was alone; alone in this dark and cruel world. She had no one to turn to. Her family, friends and now her boyfriend were going to leave her in the dark. She cut herself off from the world, because she was the only one who saw it for what it was. She felt trapped; finding it hard to trust anyone. Because everyone she loved had abandoned her a long time ago. The girl hugged her knees to her chest and buried her face in them. She could hear the faint sound of someone saying her name as she cried, but she refused to look up. She felt someone sit in front of her, grab her chin and start to wipe away her tears. The hand moved her face so that her violet eyes were staring into deep green ones. She turned away, only to have her face moved again. The person planted a soft kiss on her lips and pulled her into a gentle embrace. This familiar warmth seemed to calm her slowly. "I will never leave you, Alli. No matter what." a deep voice said. "Do you promise, Cody?" the girl said into her boyfriend's chest. "I promise." Alli smiled into his chest, before being picked up bridal style. She snuggled closer to his chest, knowing she was no longer alone. That she had a small light in her dark world.
