Broken

"Hi. My name is Araceli Scott I'm 17, and my heart is broken." These are the words that leave my mouth everyday in group when we introduce ourselves.
My parents and friends thought group would be good for me ever sense I broke up with my ex-boyfriend Anthony. But we'll get to that later. We sat through group for an hour like every day after prison aka school. We dismiss group with our saying. "I'm broken but that's ok because my group family will glue me back together." Bullshit.
I walk outside to see my mom waiting for me. "Hey sweetie how was group?" My mom says smiling she always tries to get me to smile. "The usual y'know?" I say shrugging. "Yeah I gotcha. So what would you like for dinner?" "I don't know maybe spaghetti?" "Yeah we can do that. Your dad should be home later tonight." She says with a faint smile. You see the thing about my mom she always see's the positivity in life. My dad is an alcoholic but won't admit it to himself. He's been drinking ever sense my grandma died around 5 years ago. We finally make it home and I see my ex-best friend sitting on my porch. "Jen sweetie you need to please leave." My mom try's to reason with Jennifer. "Ms.Scott I can't leave till I get my best friend back." "Jen I think you should go home." My mom says more stern. "Ok I will just... Araceli I'm so sorry I hope you can forgive me." Jen says with tears in her eyes. Jennifer was my best friend till I found out Anthony was cheating on me with her. The argument still fills my mind. "Araceli are you coming in?" My mom asks concerned. "Yeah mom." I say with a fake smile. I get out and go lay on the couch. "Araceli dinners ready." "Ok be there in a minute." I eat with mom then head to my room to do homework. I've been doing homework for an hour I look at my phone which reads 10:26 pm. I hear a knock on my window that scares me. I get up and open my window to reveal the person who broke my heart but still gives me butterflies in my stomach. Anthony. "What are you doing here?" "I wanted to talk to you I don't want us to end on a bad note." "Well I'm sorry but you kind of ruined the whole thing by cheating on me with my best friend!" "Fuck her!" "You already did." I mumble. "Listen. I know I messed up but just please hear me out. Your the girl I loved for 3 years and still love to this day! You make me happy and frustrated I'm madly in love with you and only you. Yes you probably won't forgive me but I had to get it off my chest. Please Araceli forgive me and I won't ever look at another girl again please! I need you. You're my heart I depend on you!" He yells with tears rolling down his face. "I can't Anthony I just can't. Not after you did what you did with Jennifer. So please just leave."I say my voice cracking.
