"Oh god" I cried, holding the bloody knife in front of me. I dropped the knife to the floor, faintly aware of the knife clattering on the ground. My parents laid motionless on the floor, stab marks in their throats and chest. I ran to my room, and grabbed a duffle bag.
I shoved my favorite hoodie, my phone and the charger, my emergency money, my meds, a razor, blankets, a flashlight, and a few spare clothes into the duffle bag. I slipped my (f/c) hightops on and was about to run downstairs, when I heard sirens.
"Crap" I muttered. I opened my window, and climbed out. I carefully slid the window shut, and grabbed the edge of the roof. I dropped to the ground, and bolted towards the old motel, Dina's. I pulled my phone out as I ran, calling my best friend.
"Hey, (bff/n), you there?" I asked.
"Yeah, what's up? Sounds like you ran a marathon." (Bff/n) said.
"Meet me at Dina's, okay? I'll be there in a few. Just gotta loose the cops." I said.
"Alright, I'll call everyone else" (bff/n) said. I thanked her, and shoved my phone in my bag, zipping it up afterwards.
"Freeze!" An officer shouted. I ran into an alleyway, trapping myself. I darted into one of the abandoned apartments, and tip toed to the back door.
"Where is she?" The officer said, his voice slightly muffled. I carefully opened the door and slid out, running to Dina's. I made it inside, with a few scratches.
     "Okay, everyone here?" I asked, counting heads. I saw (f/n), (2/f/n), (bff/n), and (boyfriend's/n).
"Alright, as of today, we live as outlaws. Steal to live, murder if we have to." I said. Everyone nodded.
"The monsters' magic might get in the way, so try avoiding them. We will raid some place every week. We won't give in to the cops, you got it?" I growled. Everyone nodded again.
"Good" I said. I opened the refrigerator,  and scouted for something edible.
"Canned peaches, canned soup, crackers, cheese." I said, taking a loaf of bread, and knocking it on the counter.
"Rock hard" I muttered. I shoved the bread into a corner, as a last resort. Our town was like a ghost town, or the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Many monsters came to reside here, trying to avoid many humans. Don't get me wrong, the place is full of people, but it isn't a big city, not even a city, actually. It's more out in the country, dirt roads, rickety fences, all that. The majority of people here are criminals or refugees.
     "Find anything?" I asked.
"Does an old chip between the couch cushions count?" (B/f) asked. I sighed in annoyance at his stupidity and sarcasm.
"Oh yeah, huge help, because it will totally feed four people forever, am I right?" I said. (B/f) laughed at my remark, and continued looking. We had raided the place a while ago, after we had found it, so there wasn't much undiscovered stuff.
"Hey guys? I found a trapdoor underneath the rug. Wanna find out what's beneath it?" (F/n) asked.
"Sure" I said, walking over to (f/n). She lifted the trapdoor, which had a ladder leading into the little room, like a bomb shelter or something. I grabbed my flashlight, and started looking around.
"Guys! There are a ton of weapons down here!" (2/f/n) exclaimed. I walked over to (him/her) and looked at the shelf, an array of various guns and knives. I grabbed a pocket knife, daggers, and a pistol, while everyone else took their pick. I continued scouting around, finding some blankets, oversized hoodies, planks of wood, and some string, not as good as rope, but it'll do.
I climbed back up the ladder, and walked down to Room 4. "Wow, it's already night" I whispered to myself. "Night guys! I'll be out raid tomorrow morning." I called, opening the door and sitting on the bed. Before going to sleep, I watched the news.
"We are currently searching for a girl who murdered (d/n) (l/n) and (m/n) (l/n). She was running from the cops, and disappeared into an alley. We are still searching for her, and if you see her, call the police." The announcer said. He put a picture of me on the screen. It was a horrible picture, since it was of me running. I wasn't too concerned, since you couldn't see my face. I laid down, and fell asleep, thinking about what tomorrow could bring, and the possibilities for the raid.
