Fading Star [NaLu Story] -Work in Progress-

Prologue

Hey people, this is my first story, please BE mean if you find any mistake. As you may not know, I'm not a native english speaker. But I'll do my best :)
I'm sure this will be a oneshot story, I hope you'll like it.

ERZA

We were losing, or dying I should say. It was stupid; we were the best, the strongest, WE WERE FAIRY TAIL FOR GOD SAKE! But that enemy didn’t care; it was a monster, a creature whose powers were not from this word neither from any other where we had been.

We couldn’t defeat him, Lucy could though, but… the price that she had to pay makes me feel useless. What a pathetic life being am I that I couldn’t protect my friend, my very best friend.

GRAY

I didn’t saw it coming, is not that I consider Lucy as a weak woman, but what she did… it was not something that any of us though that ANY magician could do. Although we were not defeated, although we did not die, the price was enormous.

Every one of us knew how Natsu felt about Lucy, that’s my biggest regret, Natsu is… Natsu is my best friend, I couldn’t protect Lucy knowing that, in the end, he was the one that would suffer from it the most.

NATSU

Why? She must not die, I COULD HAVE PROTECTED HER!

But no, I was weak, too weak. Is my fault even when she says it’s not. I don’t need the pity of anyone, I don’t need condolences, I need her not to die. But then again, that’s impossible.

How I’m supposed to live without her?
