The day had come and you were shaking in your boots. You woke up especially early to get ready. Luckily, you had the sense to actually ask how to dress so you wouldn't look like even more of a blubbering idiot. The first thing you did was shower; one of the worst things would be for you to smell. You put a towel round your head and got dressed into some denim shorts with pockets coated in band patches, a black vest tucked into the shorts and a thin shirt tied around your waist. You put on your minimal make up and took your hair out of the towel to dry it. Once you had finished with your hair, you picked up your phone, which at the time was blasting music, to check the time. '13:45' You were a bit over enthusiastic because he was supposed to be picking you up at 4. You had over 2 hours until he was coming to pick you up. You tried killing time, but it every minute always seemed more like an hour.
When the time finally did come, your heart was racing faster than a formula 1 driver. You heard the ding of the doorbell echo through the house. You almost skipped towards the door. As you slowly pulled the door open, you heard his melodic voice welcome you, "Wow, you...uh... look really beautiful, as always." He grinned nervously, glaring into your eyes. Transfixed, his eyes quickly diverted to the floor. "I-I bought you something." His nervous, jittery voice basically forced a smile across your face. He moved his hand from behind his back to reveal a rectangle wrapped in wrapping paper. His eyes still awkwardly glued to the floor, he offered you the present. You let out a small giggle as you took the present, causing him to look up at you once again. You peeled away the paper to reveal an expensive box of chocolates, but the part that caught your attention was the piece of paper attached to the underneath of the box. The paper was a drawing he had done for you. From the look of it, he had put a lot of effort into it. You could see him watching you, hopefully from your peripheral.
"I love it," you replied, your eyes glistening. "Just give me a moment to put it inside and then we can go." You gently placed the chocolates and the drawing on a near by table and so you and Jungkook started walking. He didn't tell you where you're going, you just blindly followed him.At last, you arrived at a quiet, secluded area of a near by beach. He brought you to a small hill over looking the waves crashing on the warm sand. There were picnic blankets covered in foods originating from all around Asia. He gestured for you to sit with a warm smile. You did so and he soon followed. The gentle rays of illuminating sun lit the place where you sat. The calming sound of the crystal water filled the air and a gentle breeze blew your hair in a seemingly awkward direction, causing a bit of a mess. As expected, there was a small silence at first, but this didn't last for long as it was soon filled with conversations of random yet always joyful topics. The sun soon began to set and the air grew harsher and colder. After a while, you realised fairy lights scattered around the area, giving off a romantic and soothing atmosphere. You began to shiver as the wind caught you legs and arms. You removed the shirt from around your waist and lay it across your lap, leaving your arms exposed. "Oh, I should've thought. I don't have a jacket, sorry," was Jungkook's immediate reaction. He put his arm around your shoulder, fearfully shaking, and brought you closer. "This is the best I can do really."
"I think I could live with this," you chuckled. You sat on top of the hill, watching the sun sink into the horizon, leaving the sky a deep red.
"This is some of the most fun I've had in a long time," murmured Jungkook. He cast you one last dashing smile as you two started to pack away the remainder of the food and blankets (which wasn't much). You walked down the dimly lit streets, the bright stars whispering a soft lullaby to the jet black sky. As you reached your door, you said your goodbyes to Jungkook. Just as you began to turn away, he gently pressed his soft lips against your cheek. Your heart skipped a beat as he pulled away for the final time of the night and quietly muttered, "Goodnight, (Y/N)"
