Chapter 1: The Day After; Part1
It was the day after everything happened, an I am begging my dad to let me stay home from school, but he makes me go to school cuz he doesn't understand what it's gonna be like. ever since Ava killed herself , things have changed more than ever. I started cutting after a year of being clean and today is just gonna be terrible. The principal is gonna read her suicide note and I'm scared to know what's in it.
The Day Before
Ava started out the day as usual waking up with only 3 hours of sleep, exhausted and ready to give up. She goes to her mirror and spends a hour doing her hair and makeup. After she's done, she walks to the bus stop. Jason her brother runs up to her and pushes her in the snow, when she tries to get up he punches her and makes her cry right before the bus comes. Ava was scared of what would happen if she told people that her dad and her brother abuses her, so she just lets them hit her. Ava gets on the bus and looks for her friend Lea. Ava saw her and just walked past her to sit in the back. She didn't want lea to see her crying because she's the only one that knew that Ava had depression and insomnia. When Ava sits down, she instantly hears people talking about her. She just puts in her headphones and takes it, he's used to it anyways. Ava started thinking, and realized it was the day her grandpa died. He was her whole world basically her dad for the first 5 years of her life. Then he died from cancer and it crushed Ava. She started to tear up then stopped because she hates showing her feelings. She was taught to just suck it up and stop being a baby. When your young and you lose your best friend you don't know how to grieve so it remains inside of you. The bus finally reaches the school and Ava gets off and runs in the doors and goes straight to first period. The bell rings and class starts. She gets all of her papers done and asks to go to the bathroom, worried that the tears had washed away her makeup showing the bruises on her face. She gets to the bathroom and reapplies her makeup then goes back to class. All she does is sit and stare at the clock. Finally the bell rings for second period, gym. She goes to the locker room and started changing. Ally, a girl that has made Ava's life hell points out the fresh cuts in Ava's legs and arms. Ava runs to the bathroom and hides until sixth period, the class she has with Lea. Ava tries to talk to her but Lea just ignores her because she's to busy getting the latest gossip from Jessica. all through sixth period, Ava was wondering if she actually had any real true friends. the bell rings and Ava hurries up and leaves to past period seeing that Lea was trying to talk to her. All Ava could think was it was last period of the day. All she had to do was get through it. She reaches for the door and sees Josh the guy she's licked since the year started. He usually smiles at her when they pas by each other, but today he just ignored her. She brushes it off and walks into class a minute late, and the whole class was staring at her. She takes her seat next to Katie known as the school gossiper. Katie announces that Ava cuts herself and she's a emo anorexic bitch that needs to do us all a favor and kill herself. As the whole class laughs and starts stalking about what they just heard. Ava runs out of the room before she started crying. She gets to the hallway and runs out of school. She was so ready to end all of it. Ava almost passes out from running so much after not eating for a week. She finally ales it how and was thankful that her parents weren't home yet. She goes straight to her room and writes her suicide note, gets her razor and cuts deep into her veins. She then takes her moms sleeping pills and before she knows it she's gone. Just like that. Her parents get home get home and her dad is the first one to see her he drops to his knees knowing her should've changed his ways because now his little girl is forever gone. Her little brother Ethan the one you had a special bond with that you'd do anything for. He doesn't know what what happened. He thinks your sleeping. He tries to wake you up. "Sissy! sissy! Wake up!!" the police get there and take away her body They find her suicide note and it reads in bold letters "give to the principal to read I front of the entire school" they do as she asks and give it to Mr. Rodgers. By the time the sun was setting everyone in that small town knew what happened.
