GRACE'S P.O.V

I was back in my 2016 Toyota Highlander and driving to 'Rao's Diner' forgetting about Lili and I's agreement. I pull up at the diner at 3:34pm and run inside. The moment I stepped inside the diner I saw the backroom door wide open and froze as I saw Emma sitting down and playing with the toys Aunt Jo bought for her. I run to the backroom and pick her up and spin her around. I listen to her giggle while pulling me into a hug.

"Mummy your back," she squeals in my ear.

"Yeah baby," I say to her while spinning her around.

"You were gone so long, mama," she whispers in my ear after calming down.

"I know, but now we have 20 minutes to play then in one hour we can go home. How about that?" I ask her after checking the time on the clock that was placed on the wall behind her.

"Yay," she says with the biggest smile on her face. I place Emma back on the ground and we play with her toys while she told me about her day with Aunt Jo. It was now 3:55pm and I turned when the door opened to find Lili with the gang of boys and an adorable little girl that looked about six with beautiful brown doe eyes. I quickly close the backroom door and tell Aunt Jo that I am going to work. Aunt Jo goes back into the backroom to look after Emma. I grab my apron and put it on before going to Lili's table to get there order. 

"Hello I am Grace and I will be serving you today. What would you like to drink?" I say with a smile being as polite as I can. 

"Hi Grace can I have an English tea with a blueberry muffin," Lili tells me.

"I will have a flat white with two sugars," says Caleb with Josh and Lukas quickly following saying that he would want the same.

"One black coffee," Jay says without emotion while looking at the little girl. 

"What would you like, sweetheart?" I ask the little girl after I bent down to her height.

"Can I please have pancakes?" she asked me.

"Yes you can. Would you like any toppings?" I reply, I watch as she turns to Jay and whispers in his ear before he nods.

"Can I please have it with maple syrup and chocolate chips inside?" she asks me.

"Of source you can." I turn around with their order and tell the chef, Chris, their order. As I was making the coffees and tea I saw Aunt Jo coming towards me. 

"Hey Aunt Jo," I say.

"Hello Gracie, I have come to tell you to take the rest of the night of it is quiet so we will be fine without you and you need to work on your homework." Aunt Jo tells me, I smile and hug her and then thank her before I head to the backroom. As soon as I walked into the backroom I found Emma asleep on the floor so I lifted her up and placed her on the couch. I then grabbed her bunny, Sammy, which was given to her by my parents before they died and her blanket or Blankey as she calls it. I place the blanket on top of her and place Sammy under her arm, I watch her cuddle into Sammy before turning the light of and walking to Lili's table. I walk up to the table to find they were already given their food and drinks. Lili sees me with my folder and shuffles over to let me sit. I sat down and we started working on our assignment. 

We have been working on our hamlet assignment for thirty minutes while the boys messed around and Millie played on Jay's phone.

"No all blondes are definitely whores," I hear Jay say to Caleb. My head shot up and I looked at him with my best glare.
