This is a feeling only one with good memory, and I mean good memory can remember. This is a feeling you got. When you were turning ten.

It was nice and warm and most definitely peculiar. You felt as if you've lived so long! It was very strange to hear you saying you were 10 years old. For you have only been 1 digit.

You now feel like you need to change. That you only have three years more till you're officially a teenager! You start to question yourself a little. How long it'll be the wait.

That you will soon be wanting different things and hobbies than you once had. And for some strange reason you cry, because you see that you're growing up. And like Peter Pan said, "I don't ever want to grow up!"

You cry that night a little because you're happy you're growing but said to know you're closer to being a teenager. You start to have to mature a little too. To show growth.

It's this weird feeling you feel when your stomach boils. This ticking in your head. This knots in your feet. But why? Is it because of the number of my age, that I feel this way?

Then the next day, you feel still like a child. Because you are still a child. And you squeeze that stuffed animal with all your might, and you whisper in its ear," I love you."

Because even for a second, you never forget that happiness it brings upon you. How you are reassured that life will turn out fine. And that's all that matters.

Then you look at yourself in the mirror and see those crooked teeth and say," I love me!" Because you don't care about what people think. You love yourself.

You then go to your parents and say," I love you mommy and daddy!" Because you genuinely love them. You still know in your heart, that no matter how old. You are you.

So this feeling my ten year old. It's brand new and complicated. But don't you fret, for you see, this feeling is just the beginning of a journey I hope you won't regret.

Welcome to life my 10 year old.
