Introduction: Country to City

I inspected myself in the mirror. I practically screamed "emo" teenager: black combat boots, black skinny jeans, and American Idiot Green Day T-shirt, with a checkered red and black flannel around my waist; to finish it all off I had bracelets with multiple bands' names and a red beanie. My long, dark brown hair flowed from the beanie to my waist. I stared at myself up and down long and hard, wondering what my new school would be like. I'm such a long way from my hometown; people here probably have different customs. Kentucky (my home state) is a long way away from Chicago (my new city). Growing up in the country was hard enough, and now I have to survive the city. This was going to be a long day!
