By the time we finally left the mall, it was 8:40pm. And after everything that has happened to day I felt like it would it would be best not to walk, and just wait until nine for Jake to come pick me up, considering how all the busses are out of service now. I walked a block to the park bench to go wait for him there, humming the whole time hoping, that it would block out the scary scenery around me. As I sat down I took out my phone to text Jake.

Hey can u pick me up?? I'm at the park bench.

I waited a while for him to text back; it always takes forever for him to. I just started to tap my fingers on my phone waiting. I slowly started to doze off into a deep sleep. Before I knew it I woke up to a very hard cold slap.

“OWW!!" I said rubbing my face as if it was going to make it better. “What was that for?" I said while looking up thankful that it was Jake and not some creepy stalker.

"What in the world is wrong with you?! Sleeping in the park, on a bench, at night!? It's like you were asking to get killed! And you didn't even answer any of my text!" Jake said pushing his hand through his hair.

I looked at my phone to see 12 new text messages, and also the time 10:31! Wow, it took him that long to get here, thank god I was asleep for it. "Oh. Sorry, and besides what took you so long?" I said while walking to his black 2010 Jeep. Jake blushed at what I said. Was he hiding something from me? Maybe a girlfriend? This I needed to know. "Ooh someone has a girlfriend!" I said in a singy voice, while poking his shoulder. "Shut up! I do not. Now put on your seatbelt, and stop distracting me!" he said "OK, OK." I said putting my hands up in surrender. Focusing back at the road I noticed something. "JAKE! LOOK OUT!" I said pointing to this boy who just ran across the car. Jake stopped the car with a halt. The boy ran across just in to time to the forest. He had a hood on, I couldn't see much of his face, but I still could tell. It was the same guy as before, his bright grey eyes were nearly unforgettable. I watched as he disappeared into the forest.

"Stupid kid! Almost wrecked my baby! When you go away to high school make sure you don't fall for any idiots like those!" Jake said while rubbing his car, as if it almost had feelings.

It took me a while to process what he just said. "WAIT?! Did you just say away to high school?!" I said hoping it was just a slip of the tongue.

"Yep!" he said popping the "p". "In the beginning of summer I was in your room looking for change, and I stumbled upon you Art room and saw all these beautiful pictures you painted, so being the amazing brother I am I applied you for Chatswick School for Extraordinary abilities, and the letter just came today. And I had to take a peak!" He said with a pleased look on his face. He had to be joking with me.

Boarding school?! As in leaving all my friends! And my paintings weren't even that good! Wait, Chatswick... That name sounded so familiar. Now I know! It's... “It’s in England! No way! No, No, No, Noo! I would have to leave all my friends and start a new life! You can't make me do that!" I really could not believe this! He was even happy! I then looked at him and his smile disappeared. He waited until a stop light appeared and turned to me.

"It’s going to be a great experience though! Plus at the end of the school year one student is picked for a grand prize of $20,000 for student achievement, and let's face it. I'm not doing so well with the bills."
