About half an hour later, I hear the dog barking and squealing and he only ever barks if theres either someone in the house or if there's a worm outside the window. So I go down to make sure everything is all right. Thats when I realised nothing will ever be alright again.
When I get half-way down the stairs Salamander stopped, he was just in the middle of barking then he squealed and then he just... Stopped. My heart skips a beat and then I could hear it pounding in my head as I got to the bottom of the stairs to see Salamander hanging from the living room ceiling fan. I'm in shock. I dont realise the man, creature, thing standing right in front of me until something stabs into my lungs.
I'm still in shock when I wake up. I can't see anything but my hearing is perfect I can hear people yearning and pleading to get out of this place. Where am I? How did I get here? What happened to Salamander? I wonder all these things, my thoughts are screaming at me and thats all I want to do... Scream. The noise just won't come out. I try over and over and over again I just cant. What's happening? I try to vanquish any horrible thoughts I have. Then i saw him... Saw it. It was almost certaintly not man. He was so illuminating, so bright, but oh so terrifying.
