The Rise of the Undead

In 2050, a strange disease suddenly turns up. Scientists are baffled to what made the disease turn up or where did the disease originated. The story came up with an infected boy in Congo-Kingshasa, South Africa. , who was recorded as the disease's "patient zero". The boy's parents told the authorities that he had came back to their house crying. The boy told his parents that he had been swimming with his friends in the nearby lake when a something suddenly pulled him down to the water. His friends managed to save him, but not without getting a bite in the leg. Within a week, the boy suddenly gets unusual symptoms such as foaming of mouth, uncontrolled movements and biting. The boy spread the disease by biting his classmates during school, causing his parents to put him in a mental ward. Doctors couldn't find the disease in their books and how it could be healed, so they contacted the authorities. The disease spread rapidly around the world. Now knowing the real threat, scientists tried to make alternate medicines for the disease but were unsuccessful. With the real threat known as zombies, the military sets up high-profile defenses but this was proved unsuccessful as the disease creates a new profile for it's host, such as it cannot die from being shot in the body, but can be killed by headshots. But since the army was trained for only body shots, they panicked as the zombies weren't falling down four shots in the center of the body an also kill it. Chaos sets in as the people fight for the last remaining supplies. The government is nearly toppled.

It's been only 6 months. It was still the beginning. But by this time, millions of zombies are roaming the world. Few peoples are still living in the surface, as the rest have retreated to underground bunker cities. This story tells us about a boy who tries to survive the apocalypse and will do anything to keep his loved ones alive.
