' TODAY IS OUR 215th EVER QUESTIONING A PROGRAM THAT STARTED IN 2032!!! ' the loud speakers boom ' EACH PARTICIPANT IN THIS YEARS QUESTIONING IS UNDER THE NEW LAWS ' gasps echo around the crowd 'new laws?' ' THESE ARE, THOSE WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIER COMPULSORY QUESTIONING WILL BE EXECUTED, ANYONE WHO TRIES TO PARTICIPATE UNDER AGE WILL BE PUNISHED, THE DRONES ARE IN CHARGE OF THE PUNISHMENTS AND MAY CHOOSE DEATH' the crowd is silent as the mechanical voice continues ' THE QUESTIONING IS NOW BEGINNING PLEASE MOVE TO YOUR DESIGNATED AREAS AND WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS, WE WISH YOU THE BEST AS YOU LIVE ON IN THE LAND OF SECURITY'
" the land that is ours" I say emotionless along with thousands in the room
'Please move to your designated area' repeats over the speakers as the crowd shuffles and moves. I press down on the cuff around my wrist, a thick electronic band I was required to have since age 8. Blue electronic writing lights up on my cuff. Citizen 753ba section 24 I turn it off again. And begin making my way to section 24.After a long time waiting I finally get called over for my questioning.
'CITIZENS 684tc, 963de, 271sq and 753ba PLEASE REPORT TO A POD FOR YOUR COMPULSORY QUESTIONING '
Another girl, two boys and myself walk up to the empty metal pods. Inside each is a chair and a large screen.
I sit down in my chair and the pod door closes. Its pitch black for less than a second before the screen lights up and the same mechanical voice from the speakers speaks to me softly
'Welcome to your questioning 753ba, please state your name' the voice asks
" Ava" I say as clear as possible
'Please state your last name and family number ' it instructs
"Scorns, number 9023"
'Registered , welcome Ava let's begin your questioning'OOOOOOH THE SUSPENCE😂
What's the questioning?
What's going on?
What are all the numbers for?
And why are they wearing cuffs?
All will be explained! And I'm so excited
Btw sorry if my chapters seem short I usually write on my phone so they seem quite long on here.
