Ghouls In Konoha

3rd Person's POV

The sun rose once again signaling another day for the world.

Meanwhile the Ghoul twins were already heading their way to the academy. They were both wearing their Konoha headband tied around their foreheads.

Flashback

Kakashi returned that night after the twins 2 hours later, he went to their room to check on them.

He found them asleep next to each other. Kaneki was sleeping on his left side, his left arm cushioned his head while his right arm was draped over Kira's waist his grip was tight but gentle. Kira, on the other hand, was snuggled to Kaneki's chest using her arms as her pillow.

Kakashi slowly closed the door not wanting to wake them before going to his own room while wondering if the twins are in love with one another.

He shook his head at the thought, smacking his forehead at how wrong that actually sounded.

He continued on to his room before sleeping...

He opened his eye and took his #1 favorite perverted book near the desk before reading it and giggling like love-sick girl.

End of Flashback

Before the twins arrived at the academy, they saw an old woman carrying groceries to an old deserted café.

Kira went straight to help the old woman instead of heading to the academy. Kaneki followed having no intentions to stop her since they left earlier than they were supposed to.

Kira stopped in front the old woman causing her to look up. "Hello, ma'am. You seem to be having trouble carrying your groceries, may we be of assistance?"

"Are you sure you don't mind, dear? I bought a lot."

"It's quite alright, I have my brother to help us."

"But what about school? Surely, you both are students." The old woman reasoned. Kaneki answered, "You don't have to worry. We woke up earlier than we were supposed to."

"I see... Arigatou, you two." The old woman thanked them. She watched as they took some of her groceries off the ground and into their arms before following her to the old café.

(Inside the café)

"By the way, my name is Kaneki, Kira. This is my brother Kaneki, Ken. What's yours?" Kira asked putting the groceries down on the dusty counter with Kaneki following.

"My name is Saya, Akane. Its nice to meet you too." The old woman introduced herself to the twins. They nodded their head before Kira looked around, "No one seems to be around. Are you living alone?"

"Yes, I am. I never married thus I'm alone." Akane smiled sadly.

Kaneki spoke up, "Would you like me to make some coffee?"

"Are you sure you don't mind?"

"I'm not an expert at making coffee but I do make a decent one though." With that Kaneki took a grocery bag before heading towards the kitchen.

Akane followed Kaneki with her eyes before looking back at Kira. "I'm afraid if I disappear from this world no one would take care of this old place."

"Hmm..." Kira hummed for a moment not replying to Akane's statement.

While Kira was thinking, Kaneki entered the room once again holding a tray with three cups of steaming coffee.

"Here. Careful though, it's still hot, Akane-san." Kaneki said handing Akane's coffee. Akane smiled, "Thank you."
