Chapter 3

~Rose's  Point Of View~
I woke up and looked around. Y/n was beside the couch in front of me. I got up and saw a strange man. I ran over and hugged Y/n because she always comforted me when I got scared. The guy looked confused and so was I. 'Why were we in a cabin? Who was this man? Where is home? Are we staying here? Is the man nice?' These questions kept going through my head because I was sleeping when we got here. I was so tired. But, where were we?

After she hugged me, she had a look of a mix of scared and confused on her face. I sighed because she tuned out. She often does that. I looked back at EJ to see him looking at Rose. Is he gonna hurt us or something? I wondered what was gonna happen. "Hey, um EJ?" I asked. Automatically, his head snapped up to look me in the eyes. "Yes?" He answered. "If you want, we can go. This is your house. We need to get out of these woods anyway." I said. "Hmm, I could use some company. If you wanted to you could stay? I only have one extra room though" he asked/said. "OK, me and Rose actually used to sleep in the same room together most of the time anyway" I said. I looked down at Rose to see her still in thought. I sighed and shook her shoulders slightly. She didn't respond. Now I was worried. I gasped and said "come on, Rose! Stop playing around!" I was really freaking out. She then passed out. I grabbed her before she hit the ground. She was out cold. EJ ran over and checked her pulse.

                             ~EJ's Point Of View~
I knew something was gonna happen to the little girl, Rose? Y/n asked me if I wanted them to leave, I said that they could stay. Why? I don't even know. There is just something about the older girl, Y/n, that intrigues me. That's when the little girl passed out. Y/n grabbed her before she could hit the ground. I ran over and checked her pulse. Just as I thought, the girls were beat and Rose had an infected cut that had gotten really bad. I looked down and noticed the little girl going pale. I picked her up and ran to my infirmary, with Y/n following close behind. When we got there I set Rose on the bed. I set up a bunch of machines and started to look her over. I looked on her back to see a long cut going down her back. Y/n gasped and started crying. I couldn't comfort her, and help Rose so I got to work. I got peroxide for the infection, gauze to cover it, bandages to hold the gauze in place, and polysporan to help heal it faster.(I'm not a doctor, i don't know what they use in hospitals). I put the peroxide on, it stated bubbling and cleaning it out. I grabbed the gauze and polysporan, then put the polysporan on the gauze before putting the gauze on the cut. Then I put the bandages on to hold it all in spot. Then I walked over to Y/n and calmed her down.

I cried as EJ worked on Rose, when he finished, he came over and calmed me down. If he was a killer, he didn't seem like it. He was to calm and nice. Though In my head the only thing I was thinking was 'please be okay, Rose. Please, Please, don't take her away from me'. I must have tuned out because EJ had to get my attention. "You alright?" He asked. "Yeah, I just don't want to lose her" I said. "If I can help it, you won't" he said. "Also, question, how did she get that cut?" He asked. My eyes started to tear up. "O-our p-parents abused us. I t-tried to protect h-her, but they knocked me out, and I couldn't do anything! I failed her! I let her get hurt" I said in between sobbing and crying. EJ hugged me. "Shh, none of this is your fault. You got knocked out, she wouldn't think any different of you, except that you tried your best" he comforted. I hugged back and cried on his shoulder. About 10 minutes later I stopped crying. He noticed this and asked what exactly happened. I told him about our abusive parents, me packing everything up, taking Rose to the forest while I set the house on fire, and us showing up at the cabin. He listened to the whole story and didn't interrupt once. I think that me and him will be good friends. I really hope that Rose is okay...
