On a stormy night, at the 69th Street Diner, Detective Ray parker is sipping on a cup of hot chocolate and the best honey biscuits in town made by his trusty waiter Gordon. The place is calm and soothing with a Bar end which showed the inside of the kitchen and the waiters would serve and call out orders from there. There was an old radio playing jazz music which sounded very faint and added to the atmosphere of the diner.

A man sitting on a bar stool and doing a crossword on his paper notices the detective, goes, and sits next to him. He asks him, "How was your last case, Detective?"

The Detective answers, "Not very good, though."

The man tells him, "Tell me how the case was."

The Detective says, "Well, it all started when..."

I was planning a holiday trip to London, when I got a call from Lieutenant Frank. He told me, "Detective, I need you to solve a mystery in the Johnson's mansion."

"Who Johnson?" I asked.

"Millionaire Mark Johnson Sr, who is now dead. He has most likely been murdered. Well that's what I heard from the inspector. After we checked, the crime scene all we found was three shots in his body. The inspector wants your help in this case. " said Lieutenant Frank

"well why do you need me Frank. I'm on vacation." I said rather furious

"Well, detective...err... you see the problem is we are stumped and the inspector clearly said that he needs you on this case. You see the inspector is a bit angry detective as Alexandro has been put on this case not Jenks. So, you understand right." Said Frank

"you know what? I think I'll speak to both of them...where are they?" I asked. "they are at the mansion waiting for you...oh and the inspector wants you partnered with the rookie so ill send him over right away." Said Frank and hung up.

I took a taxi to the mansion. And saw the bright lights of the many police cars from both precincts mine and Alexandro's. I step and who do I meet but the scowl of inspector Jenks.

"you're late parker!" he yelled the moment he saw me. "and hello to you too inspector..." I replied

"don't joke around, this is serious" he said. "oh, it better be, considering I should be on a flight to London by now." I said.

"I take it that the lieutenant briefed you?" he said. "yes, mark Johnson died murder you think?" I asked. To which I got a nasty look in return. I then went to meet the other inspector who had certain choice words to send my way. Then we proceeded to enter the mansion gates.

Man, the mansion was a big one made of brick there were creepers on the walls I guess they were bougainvillea. There were big well-maintained grounds towards the right and an old boathouse

Next to a stream, it must have been a private stream but now I guess it's open to public.

The atmosphere in the house felt like someone was missing.

We entered the mansion and first we met the lawyer. "Hello Detective, I am.... rather was Mr Mark's lawyer. You may want check the crime scene." Said he, he looked like a rather cunning man with a lot of secrets in that briefcase he was carrying. Well I agreed and went in.

The room... well the room was a.... a... Well it was like a hurricane had hit it. There was a closed register book, which was dirty and shabby. Now that was all right but what got me was that there was knife which was clean stuck in his stomach well of course it was all bloody and all that but it was totally clean.
