This is what I imagine Oasis to look like, obviously you can picture her as you like :D
Oasis POV:
A small shiver raked my body as I shuffled in the spot, rubbing my hands together as my feet sink within the few inches of snow, looking up at the new house. The Victorian feel of it make me smile softly before I hear the voice of my younger brother. "Oasis! Jane fell down the hill, it was so funny!" He yelled as he barreled into my leg, almost tripping me over.
"I didn't fall! You pushed me Jay!" I heard Jane say while she rushed towards her twin, tackling him into the snow "Say sorry!" She growled while the boy just laughed. The twins looked exactly the same, they had our mums dark brown hair with dads deep, sea blue eyes. I on the other hand have golden brown hair like my dad and for some reason emerald green eyes, unlike anyone else in my family.
I snapped out of my daze as I heard a cough, I turned quickly to see one of the movers tapping his foot impatiently behind me. I gave an apologetic smile "Yes?" I asked softly, a puff of white air forming in front of me due to the cold.
"I came to inform you that we are done with placing all the boxes into the assigned room like planed but one of the boxes wouldn't fit, I hope you don't mind that we left it in the hallway, upstairs" The guy mumbled in a monotone voice as he stared at me, waiting for my answer.
"Yes, that is fine. Thank you for the help, i'm sure my mother had the payments covered correct?" I said just to make sure, lets just say whenever my mum offers to pay for something she always screw me over by paying to little or paying the wrong company. Its so frustrating! especially when she does it on purpose.
A small grunt snapped me out of my thought as I looked up at the man, a slight embarrassed laugh coming from me before I mumbled 'sorry'. The guy shakes his head before speaking "As I was saying..yes the payment has been made. We just got a call now, so it is no worries. Goodbye." He said before walking away, not even waiting for my reply.
"Opps..."I winced before slowly walking up to the door, I could already hear the running of footsteps and the crashing of a few items. "Already.." I sighed before walking in, looking at the twins rushing through the entry way to the kitchen. "Enough! Go unpack your boxes before you get settled in then we are going out." I stared at the two as the stopped mid-step, my gaze daring them to continue making a mess. Much to my relief they slowly go upstairs to their room, mumbling thing such as 'unfair', 'but its boring..' and 'These stair look good to slide down..'.
I walked over picking up the small side table that had gotten knocked over, placing it back to where it was before wondering into the kitchen letting out a relieved sigh as I saw the twins didn't do to much damage, just a couple of things over the floor. I start picking them up before going through everything, testing where to put all of the appliances and kitchenware.
~1 hour later~
I smile to myself as I looked at the finished kitchen; all the appliances we're tucked away neatly, the empty boxes to the side and squishes for the recycling purposes and the table top and counters freshly cleaned. I nodded in satisfaction before placing to fingers in my mouth letting out a loud whistle "SHOPPING~!" I said excitedly as I hear two sets of feet rush quickly but carefully down the stairs. I grabbed both their coats and turned around to give it to them as the slid to a stop in front of me, grabbing them quickly before going outside.
I placed my coat on slowly, just to annoy them before taking a few steps outside, shutting and locking the door behind me "Okay kiddos, lets go!" I said before marching down the side walk with the two right behind me, Jane leading. About 20 to 30 minutes passed before we saw the shop that we had passed, along the journey we found the twins new school. Its about 10 minutes from our house and about 5 minutes later is a small park. 'How convenient!' I silently cheered.
As we walked into the store I gave a soft wave to the lady at the counter who gave me a friendly smile before going back to her newspaper. I grabbed a basket before turning to the twins, kneeling down I faced Jane "Okay, Jee you know the deal, you get everything on this list and then something you want of your own." I said handing her a small list of things. Yes i'm giving a list of things to buy to a little kid, I know. But she excels in reading and writing, in fact she could be as good as a 12 year old..thats why I give her a list but with things she understands.
After she runs off to collect the food I turn to Jay, giving a small smile "Now J, I showed you what you need right? go to the fridge like area and get these things okay?" I said showing him the list. Yes, I know...letting your kid siblings to explore is a horrible thing to do but they know if they want to find me, they go to the cash register.
I wonder the isle aimlessly "Hmm...I might need some of these.." I mumble to myself. Yes, I make a list of the common things we get then I decide on the rest, simple. I place a few boxes of easy cook meals like mac & cheese into the basket before going off again, after a few minutes my basket is full from veges, fruits and quick meals. "This should do us over until Cole and Hazel drop by. Hmm..oh I need to get some toilet supplies to" I said quickly in thought before rushing down another Isle and grabbing the things I need.
As I get to the counter, placing my things on top of the conveyor belt I hear the giggles of my younger siblings and hold out my hands towards the baskets they have, double cheeking they have everything before placing them with my ones. I grab a Mars bar and a Crunchie for them, knowing that they are the two favorites chocolate bars. I hum lightly while making small talk with the cashier "Haven't seen you around here before, you are new i'm guessing?" She said, slightly asking me and I nodded in response
"Mhm, just moved in today. Around 30 minutes away from here just down the road." I said back to her before swiping my card. Tapping my foot silently.
"These are you children correct? They are adorable!" She cooed softly, I glance over to the twins as they smile at me. Yeah, I get mistaken for their mother because I act like it and they have the same pale skin we got from dad and brown hair like me, just darker. Plus everyone just assumes i'm like 22 even though i'm just a 17 year old.
"hmm something like that...names Oasis. A pleasure to meet you and i'll be coming in more often." I said with a nod towards the lady.
"Names Clara dear, pleasures all mine. See you soon!" She waved as we exited the shop, a small laugh leaving me and the twins.
"It happened again" Grinned Jane while Jay shakes his head "We are always mistaken as your children." He laughed.
I shrugged my shoulders "hey, I mean I technically am your mum, I mean a mother is someone who raises you" I wink at them before skipping along the path on the way home, we didn't buy much just a few needed things. Jane is carrying a bag while Jay carries 2, I on the other hand am carrying three so it was fairly okay walking home. We all make small talk, with the twins bickering every now and again and me scolding them jokingly, we make it home pretty quickly and all huddle into the warm house.
"What a fun trip, i'm going to start dinner. you two go take a shower and get changed into your PJ's before you watch TV." I said as I placed all the bags on the counter and start to sort them into the fridge and cupboards. I hear feet rushes upstairs before a hear the spray of water.
"Okay, lets get started."
