The first character you'll meet is Emily Kelly. She's 23 years old, attending night school, and is an assistant journalist for a newspaper. She has blue eyes and curly brown hair with small hints of golden-brown. She became an orphan at 5 years old and went through foster care until getting officially adopted at 8. Emily has extreme maternal istincts and has a weakness for cute things and sweets. Gotta love those sweets. Her picture is on the side.
The second character will be an orphan named Benjamin. Emily was getting information at the crime scene where his mother was killed by his mother's ex-husband, also his biological father. Benjamin has chocolate brown eyes and hair to match, and he is absolutely the most adorable 3 year old ever! It takes him a very short time to warm up to people, and he is a really warm-hearted little boy.
The third main character is going to be Emily's best friend (and secret crush) Romano Piacevole. (No, I didn't use the name Romano from Hetalia, though I do love the character. Romano is an actual Italian name that I've loved for a long time now.) He has dark brown hair and deep brown eyes. He was raised in Italy by his grandfather and mother (his father died from an unidentified virus before he was born) before moving to America where he attended high school and college with Emily. He attends night school with Emily and she managed to get him a job at her newspaper (he went to college for the same courses as her, like writing) as his main job, but he's also a volunteer firefighter.
