Ch 10:"The chamber of secrets....opened???I have to warn them!!"

It was a dark night once again.Dear Lily was walking alone in the quiet hallways to calm herself down and relax(she had got over the tiring habit of sleepwalking months ago,thankfully!Now she slept as peacefully as an infant!).
She had lots of things to think of...
"Like,why in the world Tom is avoiding me the last few days????!!He seems...distant!!Oh well,more work for me!!I can't leave him alone,he's dangerous if he's by himself!!The one moment he's good(if you can say that with him!)and the other...a rooftop has been exploded or a student hexed to death or something!!!!
Oh God,why must it be so difficult???!When I agreed with this mission,you never told me he could make me go crazy as well!!!You must always add the side effects as well,after the main speech of what the mission is and blah blah blah....!!! I must be informed!!Do you know that I get five to six heart attacks a day??!!! I tell you,all that...is not good for my personal health!!!!The boy's driving me crazy!!!You try hang out every day with a boy your age who's a...murderer ,don't freak out and then,come find me and tell me how it has been!!!!!!-Or...maybe...no,don't do it!If You came down here You would succeed and then I wouldn't be able to complain about it,so...no!!!Forget I ever said that!!
But... I'm not the one up there with the angels and the cupids and all that...!!You command,I obey!!Yes,yes!!...But,don't you think heroes should make breaks too??
I mean...really??!!Not even a stop in the coffee shop for some donuts and milk???!!No???Not even for some hot hazelnut chocolate ???Seriously???!!....Ok, I don't believe You!!Now You're killing me buddy!!You just hurt my feelings!!!!"
Lily was whispering,(more like,talking with a high spirit again)not wanting someone to hear anything,for her safety.
She was walking,wandering around the school corridors,checking if everything's all right,if all the students had gone to bed and no one was hurt.
Suddenly,she heard a small sobbing noise...("It must belong to a girl...") coming from the girls bathroom....
She quickened her footsteps and without a second thought,she broke into the room.
There,near a cold wet marble cubicle,a girl was sitting,crying all by herself.The sight literally shattered her heart,she never wanted anyone to be alone(she knew exactly the feeling).
The girl was younger than her,probably a forth year???(she was 18,a year older than her classmates,although she always seemed like twenty years old,always looking more mature than the rest of them)
The girl wasn't pretty.She had middle size black hair,styled in pigtails,plain brown eyes and wore a black pair of big glasses,which didn't compliment her at all.Her facial characteristics were...thick.But she had a certain sweetness...that would brake anyone's heart from the first minute.She seemed something not important enough to care for...but Lily cared enough:
-Hey...are you alright in there???"She asked kindly,sitting beside her with a sympathetic expression craved on her white face.
-Go away!!Are you one of those girls who are going to tease me again???!Aren't you tired of making my life hell already???!!Isn't this enough for today???!"She spit frustrated,her hands wiping away her tears from her face.
-What???Oh sweetheart,of course not!! I'm here to help you!!!"Lily said with a bittersweet smile,took out a handkerchief and gave it to her."Here!"The girl raised her face and saw her with a look of recognition and deep genuine embarrassment.
-Thanks!"The girl said grateful and took it,cleaning up her face.
-So...what's your name girl??"She asked,trying to make a casual conversation.
-Myrtle...Myrtle Elisabeth Warren."She answered,sniffing.
-Wow!!!That's a big name!Just like mine:Lily May Rosewood Collins!!"
-I... I didn't know your name was so big!"Myrtle told her impressed.
-You and the rest of the school!Yeah,that's my name!A big name means big trouble!!That's what I say!!...Well,you're a second year,am I right???"
-Yes, a Ravenclaw second year."
-Oh Ravenclaw!!My second favorite house!!You know,the sorting hat would have put me there,it was his other option!If it wasn't for the Gryffindor bravery...we could have been in the same house!!You have no idea how many times I spend in the library,it's like I am hostage in there!!!"She laughed with the memories of this beloved place.
-Yeah,that would be great!"
-So,care to explain what happened and you were so upset earlier???"Lily asked casually.
-You mean...you aren't a Prefect???Aren't you going to punish me for staying up late after curfew???"Myrtle asked worriedly.
Lily looked her confused for some seconds...then she started laughing genuinely amused!!
-Me???A Prefect??!No!!I'm just...out of bed,checking if everyone's alright!!As it seems now,that was a wise thing to do!!You're not the only one who's breaking school rules honey!!That's my expertise!!Besides,I don't need to be given a role in order to care about the others in purpose!!It's in my nature!!!Now....spill miss!!What happened??!"She said seriously,never forgetting why she was there.
-Well...Olive Hornby and her friends..they're in Ravenclaw as well...and they were teasing me for my glasses!!They always do that,they love torturing me!!They're very popular within the other students,unlike me!You could say... I don't have many friends...well,no one actually!!So, I make an easy target for the bullies!!Anyways,when they start,they can't stop...and no one's ever standing up for me!!!So..."She couldn't finish because she was in tears again.
-So they keep bullying you."Lily finished serious.Myrtle nodded sadly."And you can't do nothing when they annoy you???!Like,talk back???!You must tell them something so they can shut the hell up and stop all that!!!"She gave her another one handkerchief.
-No... I don't think I can...confidence is not one of my qualities!I'm not like you,it's impossible!!!"
-Only if you believe it is."Lily gave her one of her perfect illuminated white teeth smiles."Look... I know it's hard!!...When you're alone facing a gang of cheeky bitches(sorry for the language but that's what they are!)...Well...No one told you it's gonna be easy!!Life is hard after all!!But isn't that the point??To get over all the hardships in order to become stronger???Besides,even if you don't believe it,all the people have problems,it's not only you!!Your classmates have their own problems to deal with!!Take me for example!!!"
-You???!But you can face anything!!Plus,no one ever bothers you because they know they'll end up hexed to oblivion or something!!"Myrtle remarked in disbelief.
-Who told you that??!"She asked surprised.
-No one's told me, I know!!!We all know how you defeated those stupid Slytherins when you first came here or how you faced a pack of werewolves in the forest last week,all by yourself!!"She said excited,a sight of recognition and admiration in her eyes.
-Firstly,they were wolves!!And secondly...they weren't werewolves!!-Ok, I'm kidding!!!Sorry!-Well...to tell you the truth...it wasn't such an awesomely brave thing to do as you all think!! I just defended myself,what else could I do??!!I'm sure everyone would have done so,if they were in my place!!!And thirdly,do you know that everyday I have to face a gang of stupid girls,who can't just shut their mouths up and leave me alone???!Instead,they keep calling me names and insulting me and my family!!! And what do I do when they come in sight????I talk back!!! I defend myself!!I don't care what they say and I go one with my life!!! I put my headphones on and I don't hear them!!!Do you understand!??"She asked determinedly the shy girl with the puffy eyes.
-Uh huh!!Ummm....what are headphones...???"Myrtle began but Lily quickly interrupted her:
-Forget it!!!.....So,do you understand what you have to do????" Myrtle nodded happy."Good!!!....Oh,and here's what we're gonna do to solve your problem!!!"She said enthusiastic with her idea.
-What???"
-You said you have no friends,right???"Myrtle nodded again sad."Well, I'll be your friend!!"She said happy to help.
-What?????!!!No...!Thank you very much but...!!You have your own friends...!!You have Tom!!! I can't be a burden to your....!!"Myrtle exclaimed nervous.
-Who cares about him????!!"She asked rhetorically,very frustrated with the reminder of him.
"Alright, I care!!But just because he's an over-possessive egoistic satan,it doesn't mean I won't have any friends!!!!Where are my personal rights mister????!Must I always remind him that I'm a person with actual feelings,not an object????!Since when I have to take his permission to have other friends??!!!!"She thought angry.
Then she turned her sight to Myrtle again.
"We are gonna have so much fun!!!Oh,and...if,tomorrow,some of those bullies with the zero percent IQ come and find you....call me,so I'll erase those sarcastic smirks off their faces,ok????"She promised with a reassuring smile.
-Ok!!"Myrtle said happily,relaxed with a lesser problem on her shoulders.
-Alright,now I'll walk you to your common room!!!We don't want to be caught be a real prefect!!!"Lily smiled kindly and lead her out of the bathroom.
