Ch 12:"Debating" again

She opened the door...and found a very surprised,angry and taken aback Tom right behind it.She instantly forgot all the anxiety and put on a joking smile:

-Oh,and here's Mr Perfect!Scared that I "revealed" your big-bad-secret,aren't you???You shouldn't be.If you have a good memory,you should remember I just stated that I might know who did it.I never said any names,locations or what is in it.If you really knew me,you should have known that I'm not one of those stupid girls who would tell anything to the teachers to  "save" their own skin. So there would be no way to say a single word to those idiots of teachers.I told you I'm gonna deal with you all by myself.So don't worry."She crossed her arms and looked him with that infuriating know-it-all look of hers.Pretending to check her nails,she looked him in the eye with that serious yet patient look she always had.

He was fuming from anger,in his eyes the fury was perfectly reflected-opposed to the calm gleam in hers-he was inches afar from taking his wand out and hit her mercilessly with the Cruciatus Curse.But he didn't do it.

-You really have a death wish,don't you???"He leaned closer,trying to intimidate her.To show her that whoever meddled with his plans would have to face the consequences.But she didn't get the message:

-No, I just really love to take risks,if that's what you ask."She brushed aside a strand of hair that had been in her face and stared at him for a few seconds.It was just like they were having a staring contest with each other,no one was talking.

"Okay..now this is the part that you curse me,am I right??But for some reason,that I'm very happy about,you don't..."She tried to limit the tension in him,something that didn't quite work out.She sighed."Look,it's clear you want to tell me something so why don't you start,hm??I understand that you were shocked,I don't blame you-every proper man with a devious plan wouldn't want it to be known by the others!Your reaction is only logical.But,instead of keeping that anger inside,why don't you just...talk,you know???"

-You...you're insufferable!I can't believe you!Firstly,you go and tell the whole school stuff everything-when you very well know that.."

-You're gonna kill me??"She raised a mocking eyebrow and looked at him with a Please-Honey-you-can't-do-anything-look.

-..No!!"

-Though so.We all know you can't bear a single second without.."She started elaborating with a very innocent expression on her face,but he interrupted her:

-Don't.say.that."He gritted ,unwilling to allow his pride to admit anything.He wouldn't say it out loud-at least not yet-he was supposed not to have human feelings.It would disturb him from a promising future filled with greatness and glory,it would be a shame if he dropped everything away just for -what a joke- love!

Lily got rather irritated from the whole fact so she streaked back:

-And what am I supposed to say Tom???!It's the truth!I mean,c'me on!-The year is at its end,we have been hanging out together from the second day since I came here..and even when we both know it-heck,the whole school knows it!-your ego is just so big you can't admit it!It's just three words Tom,-three words-your precious pride and "cause"won't be hurt if you admit that you actually have feelings!!!"She stared at him with a red face from the anger,expecting to hear his ridiculous excuse.
Her expression practically dared him:Now-what-huh??What-are-you-gonna-do???
