The girls left and and Kara has been thinking about what Carmen said earlier what if she's right what if Mr. cooper has totally lost it and was planning on killing her.
"i'm being totally ridiculous he cant go that far...right" she asked herself. She took a shower and got dress after doing her makeup she wrote a letter saying where she going and everything else that's been going on at work just in case she went missing. She grabbed her keys and shoes and got in her car. even though shes scared to death something in her guts telling her to just go to work.
When she got to the building she put her key in the locked said a little prayer and walked in, it was pitch black. she turn the lights on and what she saw made her purse and jaw drop. The entire lobby has been completely decorated with a table arrangements for two. Mr. Cooper lit the candles that surround the table walked up to Kara turn off the lights and walked up behind her and took off her coat. He walked to the back room and hung it up.Come have a seat he said when he came back and saw that she was still standing at the door. She couldn't believe it he did all of this for her. she walked up to the table and he pulled her chair out.
"thank you" she said very low and sat down.
He walked to his seat and sat down. Just than a man walked out from the back with two glass of champagne and a champagne bottle. Mr. Cooper kept staring at Kara he never realized how beautiful she was.
"I know this is really embarrassing but what is your name" he asked after the waiter left
"Kara. Kara Williams" she said smiling.
"why don't you lift your head up a little you been looking at your lap since you got here"
"yes Mr. Cooper" she said lifting her head up like she was told
"oh no i'm not Mr. Cooper here you call me John and I don't want to sit here and talk about work. I called you here and arranged all of this because I want to apologize about my behavior towards you for the pass years you have always been loyal and committed to this company since I don't even remember and I have been nothing but a ass towards you. you're always here on time and always get your work and sometimes my work done without even being asked. I've even seen you clean around here when the maids don't show up so I've called you here so we could get to know each other since we are business partners. Is that OK with you" he asked trying sound as pleasant as possible.
She nodded her head and took a ship of her drink. she wanted to drink the whole champagne with just one gulp but she didn't want him to think she was a alcoholic. This is what she always been praying for, for six years now and shes finally getting what she want.
"So Kara tell me about yourself something that is not on you resume because I read that earlier"
they talked all night half the information he told her she already knew. For the first time she actually felt comfortable around him. He was exactly what she pictured him to be very funny and sweet.
"so can i ask you a very personal question" Kara asked wondering if she should go there.
"sure I don't know what you could ask me that I haven't told you already so i'm all ears" he said giving her all his attention
"um I been working here for almost seven years and all those years I've know you to be a very happy person. what happened to you its like you changed over night" she watched as he got a little uncomfortable and took his glass of champagne to the head.
"If its too much you don't have to answer I apologize for even asking such a question" she said regretting her question.
"no no its OK I said to get comfortable and ask me anything" its obvious this was a very hard topic for him
