'This is probably the end of my journey...' Mavy thought as she was being carried onto a stretcher.
She watched as the love of her life came to her side that kept on repeating the words she hated to hear all her life.
'Sorry'
Her weak breathing picked up when his fingers touched her wrist. Electricity flowed between the two of them as he held on tightly to her pale and cold hand. Her partly opened pale lips tried to smile at him, seeing as her eyes showed pain otherwise. Her fingers had a firm grip to his, like she had been putting all her strength to hold his hand. Heat seeped through her skin as his warm hand was holding onto hers.
Time must've stopped for the two of them. It took only a minute but seemed to be spent like hours.
"It's okay. I understand, Sammuel," Mavy whispered.
Those were her last words as she was put inside the ambulance.
Mavy didn't mind about dying. She knew someone would take care of Sammuel. Even if he hadn't found that girl, Mavy would still leave him for a reason that she hated ever since she was born.
It was the reason that stopped her from growing since she was four. It was the reason why she'd been trapped in a somewhat prison and why the reason why she couldn't be selfish.
But that reason didn't matter when Sammuel came to her life. The way she felt like she'd been locked up, suddenly disappeared. She started growing up like she was supposed to do and then, she could be selfish from the things that she wanted.
Mavy closed her eyes as she felt herself drifting away.
