Ryou collapsed onto his bed with a huff. He had just gotten home from yet another disappointing lunch date. He grabbed one of the pillows and hugged it tightly to his chest as tears rolled down his pale cheeks. His date, a nice man with a great attitude and smile, had said that he didn't think their relationship was going to go anywhere. Ryou had, of course, nodded in understanding before politely paying for their food and excusing himself from the man's presence.

Why doesn't it work out? He thought moodily as he sobbed into the pillow. Am I just that unlovable to people? His phone suddenly buzzed from beneath him from his pocket. With another huff, he flipped himself over and looked at his phone. Akefia, his eldest brother, had sent him a text in the chat Ryou used to talk with his two older brothers.

Akefia: Hey little bro, what's new? :)

Ryou didn't want to answer but thought better of it. If Ryou didn't answer soon, Bakura would start spamming the chat so he'd answer. His second-oldest brother knew how to grate on his nerves.

Ryou: Boyfriend just dumped me... :(

Not even a second later was there a reply from both of his brothers. He had to blink his eyes free of tears in order to read both of them.

Akefia: Alrighty then, be there soon~ ;)

Bakura: I'll be home early

Ryou was instantly confused and a little scared. His older brothers never agreed on anything unless it was somehow illegal. He quickly tried to deter them from doing something bad.

Ryou: Akefia, you live in a different city on the other side of the country. Bakura, you don't have to. I'm fine~ :)

Akefia: It's called a plane ticket baka, and don't lie to me :(

Bakura: Don't cry anymore. Omw home now

Akefia: Tonight the thieves are going to kick some serious ass for ya, little bro ;)

Bakura: Now where does this asshole live exactly?

Ryou sniffled and wiped his eyes at his brother's texts to him. Somehow Akefia knew whenever he was upset and would then proceed to try to rectify the problem. The thought that both of them cared for him so much sent a warmth throughout his entire body, and his previous thoughts were flushed away with the feeling. Ryou moved the pillow aside so he could clutch the phone closer to his chest. Thank you, he thought and his phone buzzed again. He quickly looked at his messages to see that his brothers had texted him again. The words ensured that the warmth he was feeling would stay with him for the rest of the day.

Akefia: Love ya little bro :)

Bakura: Love you, Ryou
