Sleep...

At a usual evening in my house, I was about to sleep. I readied my things for tomorrow, and cleaned myself up. After I'm done with those, I went to bed and then fell to slumber.

After a short while of sweet dreams, then came a horrible nightmare...A montage of unrecognizable......and disturbing noises haunted me after.

Suddenly, I woke up in relief, but then I realized that I am not 'myself' anymore, and that everything seems so.....'different'.

I looked around, and it seems that I am in a room that is elegantly ornated like that of a princess' filled with........pink?

Then, I felt that there is someone hugging me, so I turned to see who it was. It was a girl, wearing a fancy pink dress garnished in red ribbons. Her hair, blond and cut short; and her skin, fair.

Afterwards, I looked at myself. I noticed that I now wear a black dress with white frilled sleeves, the color of my skin is now a pale peach, and I now have long blue hair.

Blue...That's odd........I never even tried to dye my hair before. And how did it get this long after just a short while?

Then, the light of dawn shone by the windows and reached her. There I saw her opening eyes, glistening amber.....

Awake, she smiled, hugged me even tighter and......

"Good morning.....", then she giggled.

Hmmm......This must be someone that I knew who now turned into this.....but who?

"Hey~ What happened? Still asleep?"

"No.....I was just thinking of something."

Then, a memory passed by my mind......

.....a memory from a long time ago that I want to put behind....

Could she be her? Someone who lit up my heart....yet I'm still too afraid to act.....My heart became ashen when I realized that it was too late.....

I lost the chance before....but......what's with this?

Bothered by the sight of me entranced in my thoughts, she then shook me off of it, and I did.

"Uhhh......Ughhh..."

"Hmmm....must have been from the chocolates you ate last night. What are those called again?.....Ruu.....Ah! Rum Bars! Hahahaha!!!"

Rum Bars....Squares of chocolate mixed with some sort of brandy, I think.....I did miss eating those. Quite a ravishising dessert, I would say.

.....My tail, like that of a black cat with a blue ribbon tied on it, swayed from thinking of it.....

Tail?! Oh bother.....

She seemed to notice it as well....

"Kyaaa!!! You're still as cute as ever. Don't worry~"

"As if....."

"Fuuuu~ Stop being so grumpy. You're always like that. It suits you better when you smile.....Ahahaha!"

Before, I find friendly company comfortable and satisfying.....But now, it seems that it is still good yet quite annoying in this case. I wonder why.

"So, what are your plans for today?"

"Ummmm......Lemme think...Ummmm....Aha!!!"
