Mina's P.O.V.
The Osore clan was an isolated one. We had to be careful of who we trusted or we would all wind up dead. This may be true for all clans but for us we were already losing numbers. My sister and I set out on a journey to become allies with the leaf and it led us to the office of their Hokage. They are much different than our small clan village but I suppose they have more people to watch over. Their leader wears strange robes but is obviously smart. He has ninjas gaurding and watching us. It is an honor to meet you Lord Hokage. I greeted as I bowed my head. I am the Leader of the Osore clan, Mina Osore, and my companion is my sister Miko Hitomi. I started by introducing us. We have come to form an alliance with your village. The hockage smiled kindly at us. Welcome, I am Sarutobi Hiruzen. I would like to make this as brief as possible. I sent a scroll containing acceptable terms. I went straight to the point. Hiruzen nodded with a hesitant look. You are asking a lot of our village. You ask us to provide protection and teach the ways of a ninja but how can we trust that you will not betray us? I have specified that we will pay you tremendously as well as your free will to call on us at any time. I explained. I fear that is not enough to prevent you from having second thoughts and attacking us. We need something more as insurance. I... we understand. What do you need of us? You have a child correct? I nodded confused. Yes, my daughter, Rirutaka. Would it not be fair to have Rirutaka stay in our village if we are to ask some of our men to do the same? Sir that is unacceptable! I do not think you understand what you are asking! My sister, who had been quiet thus far, jumped up in anger. Miko! I yelled. I'm sorry. Miko bowed her head and sat back down. No, no. The hockage turned to Miko. Please explain why this can not happen. Miko looked up again troubled. Sir, my niece is the only heir to the clan and to add to that she is constantly targeted by ninja. Then would she not be safer within protected walls, with skilled ninja, than in your village where ample of you can fight? But sir... Miko that's enough. I turned to the hockage. Surutobi-sama I understand but we can not leave my daughter in unfamiliar hands for so long. I see. Hiruzen seemed in thought. Finally he spoke again. What if you were to send some of your trusted clan members with her? I looked surprised to him. May I have a moment to confer with my sister? I asked. Of course. We left the room. Sister you aren't seriously considering this are you!? Rirutaka is your daughter! Riko if I do not do something our clan will be destroyed! He is right. Not many of us can fight and Rirutaka could benefit from seeing the outside of our confining village. Are you sure sister? I think it would be best. Then please allow my daughter to accompany her. My sister bowed to me Thank you Riko. We gave each other small smiles and returned. We agree to your terms hockage-sama. In exchange for my daughter and four of her guards coming to stay in your village as insurance we will not attack you, you will send ninja to help our people learn to fight. As well as this you may call on us at any time necessary and our villages will be at peace with each other unless this treaty is broken in any way. The hockage nodded and a scroll was brought. My sister and I both signed it as well as the hockage and everyone else present. Tomorrow we will leave back to my home and then all I must worry about is telling Rirutaka.A/N hope you enjoyed the prologue, M.E. out
