Paris made an impression on me ,
With its glorious buildings and sights to see,
Never have I seen a more beautiful place,
Looks of wonder and awe never left my face,
Tower blocks that would break your heart,
To beautiful mueseums filled with modern art,
With each new place my heart grew light,
The amazing view,
The Eiffel Tower at night.
From the works of art hanging in the Louvre,
To the inside outside of the centre of Pompidou,
Never in my life had i seen such beauty,
To enjoy each moment was my duty,
We travelled by foot in light and dark,
We marvelled at the size of the triumphant arc.
To explore the exquisite palace of versaille,
Would bring a tear to the cruelest eye,
Listen to the Seine what a majestical river,
It was cold on deck but i did not shiver,
And the beautiful Cathedral of Notre Dame,
The ambiance inside would make you calm.
For many a photo we did pose,
Outside the Cathedral with the window shaped like a rose,
It was late at night when we left the scenery,
And travelled by metro back to Porte d'ivry,
time goes fast so don't wish it away,
Given the chance i'd go back any day.
