I walked into the gym, the guys and girls were separated on each sides. One point for this old school.

It looked like all the girls were all talking in groups, like you would expect. I quickly made my way to the coach. I think my schedule said Coach Carrie.

"Um, excuse me, are you Coach Carrie?" I mustered out loudly so she could hear over the girls gossips.

"Yes I am ma'am." ugh. Country accent, I thought to myself.

“How may I help-- Oh I completely forgot I had a new student!! Oh dear I am sorry what's your name?"

“Carmen Macy” I cringed at my last name.

Without any warning Coach yelled  with her mightiest scream. “CLASSSS”. That caught their attention. They all had their eyes on me, I could feel my face turn a deep red. Gosh, I hated when my face got red everyone could notice it.

“Well girls meet Carmen Macy, new student all the way from California! She's going to have a wonderful semester with us.”  Oh wow, I could really tell that she thought I was gonna have a bad semester or something....Oh wait. Its already horrible.

I stood awkwardly by myself dribbling a basketball ball, and all of a sudden I jumped to hear a playful manly voice. “I could show you how to make a basket with that ball.”

I turned around to the hottest guy ever. He winked. Wow his eyes, so green! His brown hair stood perfectly messy on his head. He was tan. I found that weird, because when you are smack dab in a little farm town in Montana,  you don't get that much sun, remember that I come from Cali. He was an absolute hunk.

Alright I needed to snap out of it because this guy was actually offering to talk to me, and I didn't want to creep him out.

“ T-Thanks, but that's alright.” I tried my best smile, but I probably looked like a constipated gorilla. The hunk in front of held out a burly hand, “I'm Dylan Kedd” I took the hand shake. His teeth were so sparkly! “I-I'm Carmen.” I managed. “Nice name, well I'm going to see you around right Carmen?” He flashed a toothy smile.

“Sssure” Damn stuttering. Before I knew it he was casually walking away. I could hear some girly giggles. Was everyone watching me? Oh gosh. It just hit me, I just heard two girls talking about the 'Dylan Kedd King of this school'. Damn. King of the school?

Let's just say I was daydreaming away the day.
