Walking

Ever been dragged in to something that you struggle to get out of. I have. It's not just one of those things when people pull you into there argument and you don't even know them. It's worse, life threatening and something I will never forget.

A cold winters morning I was taking my new puppy for its first walk. I had just received this puppy for Christmas and I hadn't named it yet.

I walked down the road. I got so far to realise I forgot something. It's the most essential item for safety and I forgot it. My phone. How could I forget it?

I dash back. On the way back I see a creepy man staring at me. I try not to take any notice of him. As my Main objective right now is to get my phone.

The man shouts
"OI BABE, COME HERE"

I ignore him and immediately start to sprint away towards my house.

The man steps out his mud covered white van and sprints after me.

I try and run faster but fail and trip up.

The man grabs me by the arm and squeezes it tightly.

I tried and tried to get away.

I scream as loud as I possibly could.

I shout help numerous times.

But no one came.

No one helped.

I was dragged into the van, trapped and shaking in fear.

I turn my phone on waiting for the screen to load.

It didn't turn on, not until the van had started to move. I tap so fast my fingers are doing to drop off and finally the phone is calling.

It rings for a a few minutes then goes silent.

"Mum, dad, anyone?!?!?!?"

There is no reply just silence*

Until it bleeps and goes to voicemail.

I try another several times. No one picks up. I start to panic, tears stream down my face.

I dial 999

There's a reassuring voice answers the phone.

"Hello there, 999 emergency service, how can I help"

"I've just being shoved into a van with my puppy by a man"

"Can you describe your location"

"A van, wait no, I don't know we drove past my house and that's all I know"

"Ok, could you please tell us..."

"Yeah.. what can I tell you... hello? HELLO?!?!?!?"

There was no response.
I checked my phone to see if the call was still ongoing. The call had ended due to there being no service.

The van parks up. The light comes in as the doors are opened. There is that creepy man standing there along side three others.

My head starts to hurt with anxiety and I start to blur out. Everything becomes unclear. All I can see is darkness.

Memories come back to me. I'm in the kitchen sat the table. I look younger. I go from the table to get a drink. I trip but my mum catches me. She says

"that was close, watch out when walking, you don't want to trip again"

I laughed at her.

She was right.
