Full Moon

It seems so busy here at night, maybe because everyone is trying to make it to the deadline before the final revisions are sent to the printing press so that tomorrow we will have another publication of The Manila Tribune. It has been a few hours since Bryan left, I guess I have to get back home alone today. It's always fun to have Bryan along, though he doesn't say much, it's fun to look at the reaction on his face when he's annoyed. I would say that his annoyed face is the cutest, with his soft features contrasted by the straight, dark hair and dark eyes, not quite black but more of a deep dark chocolate brow eyes. He's so cute, I wonder why he never had any girlfriends, even when we were in College. He didn't seem to have been interested in those things, he was all studies, always on the Dean's list, graduating summa cum laude.

I've always been with him since our College days and he really doesn't have lots of friends, some people actually say that I was practically his only friend. Even then, I don't really know much about him, he doesn't talk much about personal matters. Sometimes, I think that the only reason that were friends is that I stick to him like glue and he has no choice but to hang around with me. I met him during our freshman orientation in UP and since we are both in Journalism and we belonged to the same block, I kinda stuck with him. It's interesting that he has this visit from a friend, I wonder what this friend is like... would he be the quiet, reserved type like Bry or would he be something else. And he even refused to let me go with him, oftentimes he would just nod his head and let me have my way. Really interesting... Oh it's getting late, I'd better get this to Sam so it could make it to the printers.

"Hey Sam, here's the one for my column for tomorrow's issue" Gail said after opening the door to his editor's office, not even bothering to knock. "I'm not really satisfied with it, it was hard to get some answers from that new Country Manager." she said. "It's alright Gail, you always say that but I still get good articles from you. You're such a perfectionist." answered her editor "Well, I hope I get lucky with the interview I set with this investment banker from the States." said Gail. "Oh that sounds interesting."Sam said "Yeah, I was so lucky to find out about him through my friend abroad, he said he's on the top of his game there but decided to pack his bags and move here. I wonder what the reason for his decision is."Gail said excitedly "Well, that's what the interview is for. Go home and get some rest. you need to look good for your interview with Mr. Banker." Sam teased "Well I'll be going so I can take my beauty rest."Gail said "Oh and by the way, my photographer is on a sick leave, can I just tag Brian along to take some photos?"She asked " Well, you should ask your boyfriend if he's willing to go with you." Sam said. "You wish! I don't even thinks he sees me as a woman." Gail rebutted "Well, he reacts to you, that's an improvement from how he is to everyone else." Sam said. "He's just serious with his job and we go way back, that's why."Sam explained. Maybe he'll go with you. He is looking at other angles on that girl who was found dead at the EDSA Shangri-la rooftop." Sam said.  "Yeah I've heard about that, It's really gruesome." Gail said. "Yeah it is, you should have seen the pictures. Anyway, you should go now 'cause I still have lots to do." Sam said "Alright I'm leaving, see ya." Gail said giving Sam a wave like a Miss Universe candidate. "Go! I can't get my job done with you here. We'll spend the whole night chatting about nonsense." Sam said faking an angry tone but couldn't avoid to laugh at the end. "Alright. Bye Sam" Gail said.

Buzzz...Buzz...Buzz...

OhMy God! I didn't even noticed my phone vibrating. It's a call from my father, and I've missed his calls several times. It is that time of the month again, I barely even realized. Oh how I hate this day. I really, really dread and despise this day. Looking at the mood outside, being drowned by the dazing lights of the city, but still it's clear, we have a full moon tonight. Why wouldn't that piece of rock just fall out of the sky so it wouldn't be so bothersome!

Buzz...Buzz...Buzz...

"Hello?...I'm still at the office...I'm sorry...I'll be there within an hour...don't worry, I can still control it...Alright, I'll be there as fast as I can."

I have to hurry back, a full moon is bad enough but tonight, there will be a lunar eclipse. God I need to go there in time, or else I'm screwed. What the hell would happen if I were to become like that on the road. It is inconceivable even to imagine.
