Jade Crawford followed the school guide through the corridors of the math block. He was tall, with brown hair, and was very chatty, even for a school guide. She'd already found out his name was Ethan, he has four cats, and he'd moved to America when he was seven.
"So this is the Maths block. This is where all the unicorns, like me, live."
'Oh my God he's such a nerd!' Jade thought.
"So anyway, what's your name?" Ethan said in a strong British accent.
"Jade... Crawford." she replied hesitantly.
They reach a door.
"Right this is your first lesson, maths. Hope you have a good day." And with that, he skipped off down the corridor, singing the theme to My Little Pony.
"Weird," Had muttered, and walked into the class. Everyone looked at her with accusing glared except one, who was sat right at the back, on his own.
It was silent for a few moments, until the strict looking teacher spoke.
"You must be Jade. Sit next to Jacob, at the back." She said, pointing to the only empty seat in the classroom.
Jade walked towards the boy and sat down. After a few minutes of silence he leaned over and said,
"Hey there,"
"Hi." Jade said in a high-pitched voice,
"There's no need to be nervous around me" he said in a reassuring voice. Somehow, his voice assuaged her anxiety,
"I'm not nervous, I just don't know you."
"Why don't we get to know each other then?" Jacob replied with a smirk.

Throughout the day Jade's mind was filled with thoughts of the boy in her math class.
His eyes were so Brown.
His smile was charming.
His personality was amazing.
He was well...perfect
