Chapter 2

Zander felt his heart melt at the sight of his sleeping beauty. His thumb caressed her cheek, marveling at the softness of her skin. He couldn't get over how gorgeous she was. Her long, curly, chocolate brown hair, so soft when he touched it, and those deep green eyes he could lose himself in. Her pink plump lips he craved to have on his and adorable rosy cheeks. Her skin was pale, but so soft. He just wanted her small body against his.

He felt happy and excited about finding his mate, but also angry about the wound on her leg. He'll kill the one who did this.

It has been so many years of him looking and waiting for his other half, and now she's finally here, beside him, protected by him. No one will dare touch her now. He stood up and took a last glance at his mate, before he walked out, closing the door quietly.

"Zan, your father wants to talk to you," his beta Calum, said when Zander reached the bottom of the stairs.

Zander and Calum have been best friends since they were kids, always having each other's backs.
Zander nodded and walked in another hallway, towards his dad's office. The former Alpha of the White Moon Pack.

"Ah, Zander, we need to tal-" "I know, dad. She's my mate," Zander interrupted. His dad smiled and closed the book he was holding.

"And do you know where she's from?" He asked, rubbing his chin.

"No, but we'll get the information soon enough. She's hurt and needs to rest" Zander ran a hand through his hair.

"You know whoever hurt her is now an enemy" He said, standing up.
"Anyone who hurts the Alpha's mate is an enemy"


Heaven woke up by the sound of someone laughing loudly. She looked around and saw nothing but darkness. Her head was spinning and her mouth felt dry. She looked down and saw she was only wearing a white shirt, which barely covered her butt. She blushed in embarrassment at the thought of someone seeing her naked after shifting into human form.

She had to go to the bathroom so she tried standing up from the huge bed, carefully lifting her covered leg as she held on to the bedside table. She bit her lip at the pain but kept going anyways. She couldn't see clearly so she leaned on the wall for support as she limped towards the door. Heaven felt scared, knowing that this house was full of werewolves.

"They won't hurt us, we're their Alpha's mate" Tala said. (her wolf)

"I hope not.. I just, this house is so big, and I barely have any clothes on" Heaven peeked out the door and saw a long hallway, but no one there. She took the chance and carefully limped her way down the empty hallway.

She stopped when she saw stairs and heard voices. Sounded like male voices. They were laughing and talking about something. She was about to leave before she heard her name.

"Yeah, Heaven is Alpha's mate. Do you think she's a rogue?" Someone said. Heaven tensed.

"Can't be. Her eyes weren't red and she had a scent" Another guy replied.

Heaven leaned her body lower to catch a glimpse of them, but without looking where her feet were stepping she slipped and fell down, landing on her wounded leg.

She screamed, feeling the strong pain hit her. The sound of quick footsteps came running and she saw three males standing at the bottom of the stairs. One of them ran up the stairs and tried to lift her up. Heaven felt warm, salty tears stream down her cheeks. She felt weak and embarrassed.

Zander heard a scream from the house. Him and a few others from his pack were running through the woods. Zander stopped and barked, he recognized that voice. Heaven.

"Alpha, your mate"

He quickly turned around and ran as fast as he could back to the house. They hadn't gone far, after a few minutes he reached his home and shifted into his human form, not caring that he was naked. The other wolves were catching up.
He barged in to the house and saw his mate half naked, in the arms of another.

Heaven looked up when the door was slammed open, her face turned red and looked away when she saw that her mate was all naked.

"Uhm, Blake. Maybe you should put her down" Ash whispered and looked down.

His eyes widened when he realized that he was holding the Alpha's mate. He quickly but carefully put her down and backed away.

One of the guys gave Zander some shorts and a t-shirt, but he only took the shorts, not bothering to cover his upper half. He went to his mate and lifted her up bridal style. She felt his rock hard abs and his burning skin, as she wrapped her arms around his neck, trying not to make a sound even tho the pain was strong.

The Alpha furiously looked at Blake.

"Calm down, Zan, He was just trying to help," Calum said and patted his best friend's shoulder. Zander took a deep breath and calmed himself, he didn't want to scare Heaven.

He ignored the others and went upstairs, to his room. Their room.

"I'm sorry I wasn't here" He mumbled and put her down on the bed, sitting next to her legs. He sighed and unwrapped the bandage on her leg.

"It's bleeding again, I don't get it, it should have healed.." he said quietly, talking to himself while observing the wound with furrowed eyebrows.

Heaven giggled and covered her mouth. He looked so cute doing that.

Zander looked up. "What is it?" he asked laughing, a warm feeling filling him when he saw his mate in a good mood.

Heaven shook her head and bit her lip. He raised an eyebrow. "You don't talk much, do you" he smiled, wrapping up the bandage.

"Touch our mate, touch him touch him" Tala whined.

Heaven stared at him, debating with herself if she should do it or not,

"I don't get why you're so shy, he's our mate"

Lifting her hand, she placed it on his cheek. Feeling the softness of his skin. He stopped what he was doing and raised his head, looking at her. He then nuzzled his head in her hand and purred like a cat. She giggled removing her hand, which made him pout.

"Hey, I enjoyed that"

She noticed that around her he is really sweet and owns the heart of a kid, but around his pack members he's more demanding and hides his soft side.
