"Why?" I ask sans, who just stays quiet. It's almost like he doesn't know himself. He was about to answer me when Rose barged back in with a surgical table with a whole for my face.
"Lie on your stomach, face here!" She points.
"Anything else," i raise a brow at her.
" yes, pants off."
"I have to go!" I couldn't see his face but I could tell sans was flustered.
"Nope you stay!" I point behind me.
"Why?!"
"Because your a skeleton, and Rose doesn't know squat about the skeletal system."
"What and you want me to see you exposed like that?" I look over my shoulder at sans, who is blushing madly through his cracked skull.
"What? Wanna see more?" He gasped and yanked up his hood to hide his face while still keeping pressure on my back. Me and rose both laughed while she grabbed a sheet from a wrack.
"Don't worry you will be covered," sans sighed and left as rose walked me over to the new operation table, I slid off my pants and hopped on. Rose layed the sheet over my but and I heard snipping before I felt my bra come off.
" I could have stripped that."
"Yes but I'm sure sans appreciates my method."
"I really do, and um," sans says, walking back. "I can't find anything to put you to sleep with, If you don't pass out you'll be awake for the whole thing."
"Fine by me but y'all need more light than what we got," I turn my head to see sans nodding and papyrus returning.
"I-I have returned," he was holding a box over flowing with candles. And within minutes Paps was laying them down on smaller tables moved around the surgery table and sans lighting them with his magic.
"Thank you papyrus," Rose says softly.
"Hey bro, why don't you go see if you can find anything to make spaghetti with?" From what I can see his eyes perk up slightly, he nods and leaves the room.
And then we set through the operation, it hurt more than anything I've ever felt before, half way through I made them stop because I needed something to bite down on, and without a word, sans removed his jacket and handed to me.
"Words will never express how grateful I am," I told him. Before biting down and finishing the surgery.
After the final stitch was put in place they told me I could sleep, but I couldn't. Not while the power was out at least, the locks weren't activated. Paps barricaded the doors but I can help but worry while the security system is disabled, I just can't risk anything thing getting in, getting to rose.
"What are you doing up!?" Sans rushes in to see me, wrapped in a sheet, sitting up on my bed.
"Can't sleep, think you can find me a wheelchair?"
"I would, but tibia honest, I can see right through you," I can't help but laugh at his joke. He approached and sat down on the edge of my bed. "What's going on? Healing requires a lot of rest."
"And I will rest, soon as the powers up," he smiles at me.
"Rose your sister?"
"not by blood, but yes," he stood up.
"Be right back," and with that, he left. But only for a few minutes, he returned shortly with a wheelchair.
"I wanna show you something," I gasp in pain as he helps me into the chair and pushes me from the room. We exit and I spot Rose, in her own little hospital bed surrounded by candles. Papyrus has the same setup further down.
"Looks like a funeral in here," I say, sans chuckles in agreement.
We keep moving until we reach a spot where the hallway turns from laboratory, to home, we turn into a room. I gasp at what I see.
"Fern," sans says, stepping beside me. "Meet Mettaton."
