(Quick authors note...this cover will probably change on the future because it doesn't fit what I'm planning for the story. Also this happens shortly after season two so that episode with Tom and Marco actually getting along happened, along with that episode where it's veeeeeerrryyy much hinted at that Star actually likes Marco. Ok let's get on with the story!)
Star groans loudly as she dangles off the edge of her bed, swinging her wand in front of her, thinking.
She knows that she was the one who the Truth Or Punishment said lied about their crush. Or at least...she thought she was.
She liked Marco of course, but as a best-est most wonderful closest friend sort of way. But...now she isn't sure any more. With her dad and others mistaking him for her boyfriend...made her think about that possibility, it opened a door to a whole new realm of thoughts. Of course Star kept these thoughts to herself. Especially now that Jackie might be starting to get feelings for Marco as well.
Star groans loudly again and takes her legs off of her bed so she was now laying on the floor, tossing her wand into the air then catching it again. Throw, catch, why is this happening to me, throw, catch, he's my roommate, throw, catch, my closest friend, throw catch, throw, catch.

Meanwhile in Hell, Tom is throwing his own object, this one, a ping pong ball, caught up in his own thoughts about the very same human.
Marco was, even if it was only for a couple of hours, one of the first people who he actually got along with. Sure it was to earn an anger management badge, but he and Marco connected.
Tom always wanted Star to love him, but Marco showed him that he couldn't make Star love him...no matter how hard he tried. But now he guesses that it's going to be that way with Marco. Marco hated him again, and though Tom wanted to hate him too, he couldn't. Something wouldn't let him.
He had started watching some of Jackie Hand's movies, and actually liked them a lot. He listed to To Little To Late over and over again, not knowing why. He would constantly look at the pictures they took, and not instantly burn them to a crisp, I guess that's from all the anger management tutoring.
After a lot of thinking, Tom had decided to ask Marco to hang out again, this time, no strings attached and no tricks. Just the two of them hanging out. Together and alone.
------
Marco, unlike the Princess and Demon, was not doing much besides practicing his karate. And unlike the other two, he wasn't thinking about anyone but himself and his amazing ninja skills. I guess you could say that he was oblivious to the two thinking about him. But who could blame him, he is just a normal human after all. It's not like he can read the minds of those thinking about him.
But if he could, I bet he would be quite surprised.
