Beyond The Stars

Chapter 2

Marco screamed and fell backwards as a spot on his floor suddenly erupted into flames. He quickly recovered however, standing up in a defensive position to only be faced with Tom.

"Tom?" He asked the Demon, his confusion shifted into anger, "What are you doing here?"

Tom looks at him, feeling ashamed at Marco's harsh words. He deserved that anger, he knew he did. But for once in his life he wants to try and fix his problems instead of ignoring them or getting angry. "Ok look...I know you probably don't trust me-"

Tom was suddenly cut off when Star burst into the room, wand raised, and screaming her battle cry, her crazed expression turned into anger when she laid eyes on Tom. "Oh...it's just you. What do you want?"

Tom sighed slowly, "Look Star, I'm. It here for you. I-I just want to talk to Marco...alone."

"And let you kidnap me? Oh yeah no thanks." Marco says backing away.

Star stands in front of him and growls at Tom, "What are you planning?"

"Nothing I swear!" Tom says defensively, putting his arms up in a slight surrender. "It's just...I had fun with Marco...before he got angry at me." He looks at Marco, who looks back slightly confused. "I just wanted a...you know...a do-over. I want to try again."

Marco stares at the demon then the princess. Both of them were staring at him, a pair of three eyes hopeful and a pair of blue shaking her head no.

"No strings attached this time Tom?" Marco asks while walking past Star to the demon.

"No strings attached." He replied, smiling slightly.

"YOU CAN'T REALLY BE TRUSTING HIM MARCO!" Star screams as she tugs onto his sleeve.

Marco then whispered back, "I just want to see what happens," he then looks at Tom and smiles. "Sure, why not?"

The demon smiles as the blonde looks like she's about to rip her hair from her scull.
