Harsh fluorescent lights burned your eyelids. You were awake but your eyes just wouldn't open. Softly, a hand brushed across your forehead. The warm touch made your eyes flutter but still they wouldn't open. The warm hand from your forehead had now come down to tangle in your hair. Another hand grasped your own lifting it to a face. At this you finally awoke.
Your vision was blurred at first. Soon though the odd jumbled shapes formed a man. The face before you was a familiar one. This face you had seen many times and at the sight of it you felt both happy and slightly annoyed.

"Jin? What happened? Why are you here?" You rasped. Obviously your voice was late to the party.

"I saw the news. I knew she was your friend Y/N." Jin confessed bringing his hand up to your cheek. You were laying on a bed in what looked to be a hospital room and Jin was hovering over you like he always does. "And I'm here because I'm your brother and I love you."

"You're not my brother Jin. You're hers." Jin looked slightly taken aback at your words, but quickly his emotions changed.

"Look Y/N whatever you say you won't hurt me. I know what you're trying to do and it won't work. I'm not going anywhere." He countered.

He could see right through you. Jin knew that you were trying to push him away. You were grateful that he loved you as he did but he smothered you. When his sister went missing he was a mess. Instead of properly mourning her he replaced her, with you.

Everything he used to do with her he did with you. Birthdays, Christmas, all of it. You didn't have much of a family anyway your dad had died long ago and your mom worked all the time. So at the time you actually craved it, but Jin was too possessive. Jimin had also sought out your company and Jin protested it. He wanted you to have nothing to do with Jimin but you wouldn't have it. When Jin realized that you wouldn't be giving in to his demands he gave in scared that you would leave him behind.

Once the doctor released you in good health Jin took you back to your apartment. The long ride in the car seemed a daunting task but you endured it in silence. You could feel the glances that he kept sending your way and it made you feel small. Arriving at your apartment you opened the door and Jin followed behind walking straight to your bedroom.

"What the hell happened in here?" Jin hollered to you from the hallway. Walking into the room you realized you still hadn't cleaned it up after your little fit.

"I was looking for something." You answered emotionless.

"Well SHIT did you find it?" He asked jokingly.

"No." you shot back plainly, walking back to the living room and crashing on the couch.

Jin made no further conversation. All you heard were the sounds of him cleaning your room. Typical Jin. Honestly you didn't care about the room. The only thing you cared about was the fact that your friend was dead. A small part of you wondered if it was your fault. Could you have stopped it? If you had told someone about the creepy letters would it have changed anything? You couldn't hold in the tears that were now cascading down your face.

Jin had now returned and he came to join you on the couch. Lifting you from your fetal position he placed you on his lap. With the sleeve of his sweater he tenderly dried your eyes. He then brought you to his chest and let you release it all saying nothing as he silently stroked circles in your back. He definitely felt like an older brother now. For a moment you felt guilty for wanting to push him away.

"I'm staying with you here tonight Y/N. And I'll here no protests." He asserted calmly. Of course you didn't, but it made you think of the night before and how Jungkook had stayed with you.

"What happened to Jungkook?" You had asked before you even realized it. You had been walking with him when you fainted where was he now.

"I sent him home. He looked like a mess just sitting there watching you." Jin answered casually.

"I'm gonna go take a shower." You said nonchalantly. Rising from Jin's lap his grip tightened pulling you back down to him.

"I'm not gonna let anything or anyone hurt you. Ever." Jin conveyed to you while holding your face in his hands. Nodding to him he let go of you.

The hot shower soothed you but only a little. Your mind was still plagued with images of your now dead friend. Giggles and whispers haunted you and words from the letters beat your brain begging to escape. This was all too much and you wanted out. A sort of claustrophobia set in and you needed release. Quickly you dialed the one person you were sure would give you honest logical answers.

Namjoon waited for you outside of your apartment. You had waited until Jin's soft snores echoed from his makeshift bed on the couch to sneak out and meet him. Quickly he enveloped you in a hug. Namjoon may not have been much of a people person but he had a huge soft spot for you. You treated him like a normal human being while others treated him like some sort of freak. 'People are always afraid to feel inferior,' he had once told you, 'but not you. You listen to me and you don't judge me. I find you so interesting.'

"Is everything alright? You sounded distraught." Namjoon questioned softly, still holding you in a tight hug.

"Besides the obvious?" You teased lightly. "Jin is up there."

"Ah I see. He reminds you of her. Plus what happened today. You're suffocating." He stated out loud. Not as an affirmation but more like he was expressing the thought at the exact point it crossed his mind.

Namjoon knew everything. You had deemed him capable of handling such info as he had no one to report it back to. He even knew things Jungkook and Jimin didn't know. Like the time you had gotten drunk with Taehyung while at a frat party and woke up in his bed the next morning. You both had vowed to keep it a secret but you were crumbling and Namjoon was there to listen.

"Namjoon I have to tell you something." Of course you had to tell him about the letters it was eating you alive.

"I've been getting these letters," you started pulling away from him to gage his reaction. "At first it was just kinda creepy. Then Ffion happened and they found one there. I-I don't know what to do."

"Hmm. How were they addressed?" He asked wasting no time.

"Just with my name. They've been left for me in the library and on my door." You answered.

"So whomever is doing this knows your schedule and is close enough that you don't notice." He pointed out quickly.

"Wait. So you think that it's someone close to me?" You started to panic.

"Look Y/N I don't want to scare you but you need to be on high alert. Before it may have been just letters but now someone is dead." He said placing his hands on your shoulders. "I'm sorry to say this but I can't stay much longer. I have a paper due Tuesday that I haven't even started."

Nodding you went in for one last hug before sending him off. He must be really worried about you, he never puts off school work. Numbly you walked back to your apartment. Was someone close to you really to blame for this? Why? Why did they kill Ffion? Your thoughts were interrupted by a buzzing in your pocket. As you brought out your phone you noticed you had received a text from an unknown number.

Your face is so beautiful when you are sad. I will do anything to see it.

Quickly you ran to the safety of your apartment. Jin did not waken as you slammed the door and triple checked the locks. Sliding down to the floor you realized your stalker had escalated again. He was texting you now. He was right outside. He was everywhere.
