The Night is Bright

 Wishing on a wishing star

I think of you and I

The night is dark, lit by the yellow flecks

It's undeniably beautiful

Like this situation...

It's dark and frostbite but your heart is scorched

I can see your heart in your eyes

You bring me much peace and serenity

For that is why I love you

After plenty, thought and time

After plenty, love and devotion

After plenty, honesty and loyalty

We've come to trust

Thank you for being the man you are

Red rose and Jasmine burn endlessly

From a stick of smoke and floral scents

Vanilla soy flame

It softly lights and subtly warms the dimmed room

Our surroundings are near silent

But everything between us is loud

It's apparent to me, we belong to each other

When I rest my head on your shoulder

Your deep breaths bring me close to sleep

And your rough hand smoothes my hair

Reluctantly to both, we succumb to deep slumber.

Rain

Nobody expected it to rain

Nobody knew it would pour down hard

Everyone knew rain would leave a stain

Everyone thought the day was vain

Except for Rain

Creaky doors

That ached with age

And hardwood floors

In the cores

Where stayed the mage

Because everyone thought the day was vain

Without joy and wretched sorrow

And everyone thought that Rain was pain

For he was in chain

Bent over a wooden cane

The mage hid his face

Deep within the core

Behind armour sharp like ancient mace

The mage kept his pace

While others race

You can never really tell

What magic a mage holds

When you are feeling so bold

His tears are easy to swell

You've reached the end of published parts.
