I sat at the table in Old Dime Café around ten. I waited for Jayden to come around while I watched people pass by the café. "Someone seems anxious?" I looked at Jayden's deep blue eyes as he watched the waiter pass by. "I am. Actually did you receive a letter when you come home on Monday?" Jayden's built body shifted as he pulled out the letter. "I did indeed. You did as well I am assuming." I pulled out the letter examining the two side by side. "They are the same thing only this person wants us to kill each other." Jayden made a really good point and I wondered why this person wanted that. Jayden turned his head hearing our order jumping up to get the tray. When he sat back down his long black hair fell on his shoulders. I thought it was cute as he took a hair bow tying his hair up. "Are you fascinated with my hair?" Jayden's words caused my face to turn blood red as I grabbed my fork to start eating. He sat over there laughing a little bit at my reaction. "So, here is what I think." I looked up halfway eating my pancakes. "I think someone is watching us. This someone knows who are, what we do, and why we are here. I even think this someone hates us. Either that just dislikes us and wants us dead." "I see the cleverness in this game she chose. I hate this." Jayden gave me a look. "Have you ever killed anyone before?" I stopped eating putting my fork down I looked at him. "I have. It was the most gruesome thing I have ever done. I had nightmares, I cried, and I wished every night that this day would never came back to haunt me." Jayden's eyes fell onto his plate. "I am sorry Havannah." We finished our meal then headed over to Rose Red Forest. "Who do you think is behind this?" Jayden pondered on it before answering me. "I think whoever R is." "Who do you think R is?" "I think I have someone in mind, but I will be keeping them to myself for now." I glanced at my watch noticing it was almost noon. " I better go before my friends are wondering why I am gone for so long." I started to walk away whenever I felt a hand grab my arm. "Havannah, thank you for not killing me..." I looked at him then I looked away saying, "Yeah well it seems we will before to long." Jayden let go as I walked away but I could feel his blue intense eyes stare me down. When I walked in the door I saw Carolina was asleep on the couch with a piece of paper in her hand. I reached down picking it up. It read the person she has which his name is Colby Levi. I put it back in her hands and headed for my room while everyone was locked away in their room.
The evening sunset was setting on the edge of the town when I walked out of the house. I had so much on my mind I did not know what to do. Carolina came out behind me whispering to me, "We need to talk. Somewhere private." We walked into the shallow areas of Rose Red Forest. "I wanted to talk to you about your parents. I think now is the time they would have wanted me to tell you." I stopped to listen to Carolina since she knew my parents before they were killed. "Your mother wanted me to give you this when I thought it was time. I should have given it to you a long time ago." Carolina hands me a tiny Rose Red stone. "She said to keep it cause it means good luck and I love you." Carolina looked down at the ground before turning away from me. I kept going on the path holding the stone in my hand. In the middle of the path stood the only dogwood tree. I took the stone imbedding it in the middle of the dogwood tree. A few tears slipped from my face but the rain started to wash everything away. I walked back to the house dripping wet since I did not bother to call someone to get me. I walked in the door where all the Blood Sisters were eating dinner I just walked up to my room shutting the door behind me. I felt numb something went cold inside me since I touched the stone. I took off my wet clothes exposing my naked body to the cold air when I stepped into the hot steamed shower. I was to engrossed in my thoughts about everything. I just laid in the bed staring at the celling when my eyes grew heavily to a shut.
"You are late coming in this morning." I looked at Jayden while he sat drinking his coffee. "I did not know you liked coffee." Jayden shook his head, "Yeah when I am in the mood for it." He looked at me with his eyebrows squished together. "You are not okay. I can tell by your mood." I looked at my food then pushed it away from me. "Yeah so what." Jayden looked at me with a frown on his face. "I don't like you with a frown on your face. It is scary." "I am not scary!" Jayden chuckled at me, " Alright then pumpkin pie. What's your problem?" I looked at him with my mouth wide open. "When did you start calling me that!?" "Since now." "Fine then you are honey dew." "Ew, that sounds like a food." "I think it might be." We both laughed at each other walking out of the café. "I am going to Rose Red Forest. Do you want to join me?" I looked at Jayden then agreed to go with him. As we entered the Forest Jayden looked at me as we were walking. "You know if you want we can meet up on other days as well." "I would like that since I have none thing to do at the house anyways." "Well, alright then Tuesday night here?" "Sounds good to me." we came upon the dogwood as Jayden looked at the stone. "How did this get here? I was just here yesterday and it was not imbedded into the tree." I looked at him then the ground. "I did it." He looked at me then asked, "Why did you do it?" "It was the same reason I was late this morning. I received it the other day by Carolina. It came from my parents well my mother mostly." Jayden digged out the stone and grabbed my hand. I held it open as his soft hand placed the stone in mine. He held his hand on top of mine then looked me into the eyes. "Your mother I am sure would have wanted you to have this." His hand finally let go of mine when I put the stone in my pocket. "Is there another way I can get a hold of you?" Jayden looked at me grinning. "Now don't go falling in love with me Ms. Havannah. I am not." I cut him off before he could finish, "I am not the person to fall in love with anybody! In fact I just wanted a bloody friend!" Jayden busted out laughing so hard that he almost fell on the ground. "I was just kidding. Besides no way would I fall in love with anyone either." "I bet a lot of girls love you." "Yeah right. Apparently I am to mean and scary looking." I looked at him puzzled. "I think you look hot." Jayden stopped before I realized what I had blurted out. "I got to go!" I took off running trying to get away from him before everything falls apart right then and there.
I laid in my bed that night letting in cool air as I stepped out of the shower. I walked into my room in my black laced bra and thong. "Wow." "Oh My God!" I screamed running into the bathroom. I peeked out to see Jayden sitting on my bed turning red. "What are you doing here?" "I wanted to talk to you about earlier. I can see I defiantly invaded your space." Carolina was knocking on my door demanding what was wrong. I looked at Jayden. "You can't be seen or heard!" I whispered for him to come into the bathroom. I pushed him into the bathroom as Carolina walked into my room. "What is wrong? Why did you scream?" "I almost fell over the towel I had laid down earlier." Carolina watched me before leaving. "Shut your window or you are going to catch a cold." She left slamming my door as I opened the bathroom door. Jayden was standing there smiling. "Would you like your clothes?" "Yes I feel naked. Get out!" Jayden laughed leaving through my window. I slipped on my clothes finding a note on my night stand. Meet me tonight at the Dogwood tree. ~ Jay I slipped the note into my book for safe keepings and I walked out of the house on my way to the Dogwood tree.
I reached the Dogwood tree with Jay standing under it in black. "Nice of you to drop by my house." Jay laughed a little, "I am truly sorry about that. Next time I will warn you in advance." I giggled a little, "It was a little strange to have a man see me in my undergarments. I will admit that." Jay looked at me as I leaned up against the Dogwood tree. "I thought you were...sexy." I gave Jay a daring smile. "You thought I looked sexy?" Jay's face turned pink. "Let's forget all of this!" I giggled at Jay's reaction but I started to walk away. "Is that all you wanted me for?" Jay grabbed my hand pulling me into his embrace. "I thought you never fall in love?" My heart started to race as he held me. "I don't." When Jay said that my heart sank below the ground that holds my feet. "We are just friends." Jay let go of me as I walked away. "Yeah, goodnight." Jay waved bye as he ran through the forest. I walked into the house when Carolina sat up frowning. "Where were you?" I glared at her. " Somewhere." "You are passed your curfew." I stood by the door, "I have no curfew. I am 22 years old now leave me alone." Carolina stood up ready to grab my hand before I stopped her. "You are not my mother!" I took off out the door to get away from her while I could hear the door shut and lock behind me. I walked the streets heading for Rose Red Forest in the cold air.
