"SOPHIA" her mom screamed.
"Yes mom"?
"We have to talk" Said her mom
"Okay"
"Sit down"
Sophia plopped down on the couch in the seat right between her mother and father.
"What's going on"?
"We think you are old enough to know now"
"Old enough for what"? Sophia said cutting off her mom
"Sophia, you were adopted"
"What"? Sophia could not believe what she just heard. Was her mom playing her, is this a joke?
"Your dad and I adopted you in Florida. We couldn't have kids and we wanted a baby girl so bad". Her mom said with tears trickling down her eyes.
"Mom, your joking right, this is just a joke".
"No honey, this isn't a joke, would you like to see the papers"?
Sophia ran upstairs slamming the door and threw herself on the bed crying. She didn't understand, all she could think was "why God, why her". She wanted to curse God, why didn't her birth mom want her? What was so wrong with her that she was put up for adaption? She had so many questions and she was determined to find the answers. That day Sophia's world came crashing down around her and she couldn't do anything about it.
