the tale of Amelia-skye

Mr and Mrs Lewis would leave at half past eight in the morning and return at four of clock in the evening every day expect from Sundays.

Mrs Lewis called me down to the living room and told me to go upstairs with georgia and get my best dress on as we had guests arriving in half an hour.

Half an hour rolled by and the doorbell rang so I made my way downstairs and stood at the bottom step beside Mrs Lewis, Mr Lewis opened the door too reveal two people, a tall man with a long black suit, a top hat and a mustache, and a small girl with a pink dress on and a matching ribbon in her hair. I thought to myself this is them! This is our next door neighbours. Mr Lewis introduced us to the two people at our door, the tall man was called Alistair Montgomery and the young girl was called Amelia-skye Montgomery. Amelia-skye was told to go upstairs and play with me so we made our way upstairs into my playroom. Amelia-skye looked at my rocking horse pointed at it and smiled I smiled back but I didn't quite understand in that moment why she did not speak.
