I saw mountains, I saw valleys
I saw rivers of ice.
Soft snow fell-
hiding my tracks.
Strong my teeth grew,
and muscles in my back.
Noises from the trees
are what I prey,
and under the hill
lies a fox of grey.
My paws tread danger from afar
my paws take me places
none have gone-
for fear of death.
There is nothing I
fear, nothing I desire but
for the blood drops
of my eaten prey.
I wait in darkness,
hiding from light of day.
The eyes of the wolf, the ferocity
the eyes to its soul,
closed.
I am too fast for lighting-
to strike down.
My howl through the wind
sends shivers
down their spines.
My mind confuses me
protect,
or murder?
These are my options-
which do I open my soul to?
Through my eyes, prey cry in fear.
They see the dark,
cold, moonlight shining-
I sink my teeth into their throats.
Giving them quick death-
over torture.
This is what I am
