Five years later.

Lana was now the top anchor for the news channel in Boston. After the birth of their second child, the small family moved to the city. Mary was working as a teacher at the school where their children were going. She was teaching kindergarten and their daughter-the youngest-Kimberly was in her class. Their son, Christopher was a grade up from his sister.

That night, Mary was at work because there was going to be an open house for the students and their parents. She had Kimmy and Chris with her while Lana was working on her next story for what would be on the news tomorrow.

Mary walks over to her desk before any parents came in, and picked up her daughter from the ground and set her on the desk. She noticed that the child's bow was falling from her curly blonde locks.

"Sit, honey. Let Mommy fix your hair." Mary says, and her daughter does as she's told.

Christopher comes over to them and tugs on his mother's arm. "Mommy."

"Yes, bubba?" She looks down at the brunette boy.

"When can we go home?"

"It's going to be awhile. Why, what's wrong?"

"I'm hungry." He answers as his hand lands on his small tummy.

"What happened to the snacks I gave you earlier?" Mary asks as she ties the last part of Kim's bow.

"I gave them to Kimmy."

"Kimberly, what happened to the snacks I gave you?"

"I uh, I ate them, Mommy." She small blonde says as she looks down at her white ruffle socks.

Mary sighs, and searches through her bag for anything she could give her son, but nothing was found. She stands up and goes over to where the phone is and calls home.

"Hello?" Lana's voice is heard.

"Hi, honey. Is there any chance you can come pick up the kids, or something?" Mary asks softly.

"Sure, I'll be there in thirty minutes."

"Okay, thank you." The blonde says before hanging up the phone.

Just then a crowd of adults come into the room with their children that were in Mary's class. While the blonde talked to various parents Kimmy and Chris sat at their mother's desk until Lana came to get them.

The brunette walked into the classroom, and the blonde girl ran over to her other mother. "MOMMA!"

Lana picked up the girl and laughsas she kisses the girls forehead. "Did you miss me?"

"Yes!" Kimmy hugs her mother tightly.

The brunette mother walked over to the desk where her son sat. She also give him a kiss before asking, "how was your day?"

"Boring, and I'm hungry."

"I figured as much. Let me talk to Mommy, and we'll get going okay?" Christopher nods and takes his sister from Lana.

The brunette walks over to her girlfriend, and waits until she is done talking to a pair of parents. When Mary spots the brunette she smiles and continues talking to the mother of her smartest student. Once they are done she goes over to Lana, and gives her a kiss.

"Thanks for coming to get them. I thought they would be fine here, but Chris is hungry, and I can tell Kimmy is getting bored."

"It's no problem, darling. I'll even make dinner when I get home. Do you need anything before I take them home."

"No, thank you though. I love you, and I'll see you at home." Mary smiles softly.

"I love you too." Lana gives the blonde another kiss before getting the kids and heading off to the car.

Mary's friend Patrica-another teacher in the hall- walks over to her. "Mar, you realize you just kissed Lana in front of everyone, right?"

"Yes, and?" The blonde raises a brow.

"Just because a few of us don't care, you just showed all these parents you're gay." The red headed woman whispered her last word.

"Pat, I don't care. I'm in love with Lana, and she's the mother of my kids. I don't care if people know." She explains, and a few parents eye her, yet a few others clap, the ones who were single parents, or who were thought to be, but secretly were gay themselves.
