The wind was violent and tree branches bang in my window, a storm had been going on all night and I had been sleeping through it. I softly snore as thunder struck the Earth. I turned and opened my eyes a little, I heard the banging of the tree branches and sighed. I turned into my back and looked up at the ceiling. I watched my ceiling fan spin round and a round as I watched. I was no longer tired and turned to my nightstand. I saw my phone lying on there not charging. I groaned in annoyance and reached for my charger, as I was, I heard a loud bang from outside and felt the ground shake. 'Maybe I can charge my phone later.' I thought to myself as I moved my hand away from the charger. I felt my eyes get heavy once again and I closed them. But as I did, I heard knocking at my door. I opened my eyes and groaned. "Who is knocking at this hour!" I yelled to myself and got up. I put on my slippers that were cold and stood up stretching a bit. I walked downstairs awkwardly and reached the front door.

I looked through the peak hole and remembered it was pitch black out there. I opened the door and a strong gust of wind entered my house, I felt something rush past me but wasn't able to see what it was. I was finally able to close the door. I was gasping for air when I heard something in the living area. I stand up slowly and stand still, "Hello?" I call out, my voice cracking a bit. I hear a yelp and some stuff being knocked down. 'What the heck?' I thought to myself walking towards the living area slowly. It was pitch black but every once in a while, lightning will strike and for a split second, show me what was wear. I grabbed the flashlight I left on the couch and turn it on, I shined it on a figure I saw and to my surprise,it was actually cute. She was green with triangular hair, she wore these transparent visors and had a triangular green gem on her forehead. "Please don't hurt me!" She yelled out blocking her face. I began to walk near her slowly without saying anything. "Who are you and why are you here?" I asked standing a safe distance away from the thing.

She looked up at me and I saw she looked nervous. She cleared her throat and standing up making me back up a little bit more. "My name is Peridot, I am a gem from Homeworld here to check on the process on the cluster. I was-" before she could finish, I interrupted. "Okay, i have no idea what you just said." I told her looking around, I was looking for a weapon but all I found was a bag of chips lying around. "You humans don't know what Homeworld is?" She asked, she looked annoyed at this point. "What's a homeworld?" I asked tilting my head to the side a bit. She groaned and face palmed herself. She looked back at me and sighed. "Homeworld is a colony ruled by the diamonds." She began. All the rest of the night, I stayed up listening to what 'Peridot' had to say. By the time she finished speaking, I looked at the time and it read 5:40 a.m.

I yawned and stretched, "Well the 'Peri'-" I was interrupted by the annoyed groan of Peridot. "My name is not 'Peri', it Peridot, get it right!" She demanded. I frown and stand up, "Well then 'Peridot' if you're going to be rude, I'll just send you outside." I told her, her face quickly turned terrified. "No! Please don't, I don't want to be stuck in the bundle of mess again!" She begged. I rolled my eyes and headed for the stairs. I heard Peridot's footsteps follow me upstairs, I didn't need to turn around to know that. I got to my room and jumped into the bed, I looked towards the door and see Peridot was looking around with a worried expression on her face. "You alright?" I asked pulling the blankets on top of me. "U-uh, yeah" she replied. I closed my eyes and got comfortable.

Not even 5 minutes later, I felt something poking my face, I open my eyes to find Peridot face to face with me, I saw her turn a dark green while I felt my cheeks get hot. She quickly jumped back, "S-sorry!" She said before retreating to a corner in my room, "Hey, no worries, you don't have to go hide in a corner you know!" I said with a chuckle. I see Peridot turn her head around and then turned her whole body around the face me. "Alright then, so I have told you my name, so who are
you?" She asked scooting a bit closer to me. "Oh, my name? Well it's Y/n" I said with a grin. She nodded and seemed to say something to herself, I didn't understand what she said to well. "Alright then 'Y/n', what is this place we are stuck in?" She asked narrowing her eyes towards me. I felt my cheeks turn a bit hotter and I turned away from her. "Currently, we are in my bedroom where I sleep which is in my house." I explained. "Mhm." Was all I heard Peridot say.

I turned back to her, "Question, why were you outside during a storm?" I asked, it was strange she was out during a strong storm, how was she not hit by lightning out there? "Those 'Crystal Clods' had ran me all the way over here, so I had no place and when this 'storm' came, I had no choice but to bang on a random door." She said. I wasn't sure who these 'Crystal Clods' as Peridot called them were, but I didn't question it. "Well then, I'm gonna get a bit more rest, night!" I said before turning around and getting comfortable. "'Night'?" I heard Peridot say, but I didn't say anything.
