Ethan looked down embarrassed. Cathy looked down at her friend with new eyes, she had never heard Heather say anything so harshly. Mike looked pissed.

"How dare you?" Mike said through gritted teeth. "Say it so harshly like that. Ethan and I have been friends since birth and have been through alot together."

"Are you two gay?" Heather asked wide eyed.

"Heather!" Cathy gasped. "You can't just ask people if they're gay." Heather just shrugged her shoulders.

"No!" Mike said. "We're not gay!"

"Prove it." Heather said.

Mike didn't hesitate to kiss her. He would never tell anyone this, but he's had a little crush on Heather ever since 8th grade. He had admired her ever since he saw her and Cathy do a list of dares that a group of girls made Cathy do. Heather was new at the school and she was hanging out with the popular girls but then when she didn't let Cathy do the dares alone, they stopped talking to her.

Heather was surprised at how eager the kiss felt, but didn't push away. Instead, she kissed him back and placed her hands against his chest. His hands pulled her waist closer to him.

Cathy and Ethan stared at the scene in front of them. Cathy glanced at Ethan the same time he glanced at her. Their eyes met.

"You don't have to prove if you're gay or not." Cathy told him.

"What, don't want to kiss a scholarship kid?" Ethan suggested.

"No," Cathy looked at him in surprise. "That's not it at all." She didn't want to tell him that she's never kissed anyone.

Heather and Mike break away from the kiss. Cathy heard Heather's shy giggle and saw the happy grin on Michelangelo's face. A plan started to form inside her brain as her phone beeped in her pocket. She checked the message and sighed. "Heather, we gotta go. Mom's on her way home."

"Kevin won't rat us out, will he?" Heather asked still with her hands on Mike's chest.

"No. Not yet at least." Cathy said. "But I have to do his laundry for another month."

"At this rate, you'll be doing his laundry even after graduation." Heather chuckled.

"That's in eight months." Mike said. "7 months, 13 days, and 10 hours." Ethan muttered under his breath, Cathy looked over at him and he just shrugged his shoulders.

"What have you all done to make your debt that long?" Mike asked.

"It's a long story that I would love to tell you some other time." Cathy said with a hint of sarcasm. "But we really need to go." Cathy grabbed Heather's hand and started to pull her away towards her car. But it seemed to be harder than all the other times. What, did she gain 100 pounds in the last three hours? Cathy thought.

"Maybe we'll see each other at school?" Heather said.

"Of course we will, we go to the same prison." Cathy muttered.

Heather wouldn't budge until she got a nod from Ethan and a wink from Michelangelo. Heather let Cathy drag her to Cathy's car. Cathy barely waited for Heather to close her door before she pushed on the gas pedal. Her parents knew about all her 'little adventures', but they didn't care. As long as Cathy made it home before 1 A.M. and didn't embarrass the family name, she could do whatever she wanted. Right now, it was three minutes past 1.

Cathy's house was about 40 miles away from the fair. She made it home by 1:07. Heather's eyes were tightly shut and she was muttering a prayer. Cathy tapped her on her shoulder and told her that they were home.

Heather followed Cathy behind her house and climbed the latter that they had attached to the house years ago and is now slightly covered by the vines that grow up along the house. The latter went up to Cathy's bedroom window.

Cathy flipped gracefully through the window and into her bedroom as Heather stumbled into the room.

"With how many times you've done that, I'm surprised that you still have troubles Feather." said a deep, amused voice in the corner. Kevin, Cathy's twin brother stood up from Cathy's desk and smiled his sly smile. Cathy rolled her eyes. Kevin strolled to the door, as he opened it he turned back to his sister. "By the way, mom's on her way up to check on you."

"I thought you said she wasn't home yet!" Cathy hissed.

"I lied." Kevin said and closed the door.

Heather and Cathy kicked off their shoes and did what they've done a million times before. Heather flicked off the lights and ran to the bed as Cathy closed the stiff window and jumped in the bed beside Heather. No sooner than they got under the covers did Cathy's mom open the door. Cathy's mom saw the blonde and red hair she was used to and closed the door and continued down the hall to her room.

Heather sighed a sigh of relief and Cathy gave a little laugh. "So, I'd say you had a better time than me tonight." Cathy teased.

"Oh, shut it." Heather mock glared.
