The Accident in the River

Once in a little town in California, there was a small school called River Valley, it was built next to a long and beautiful river. Most of the students in the school were very gentle and kind, except for one student. This student is as mean as a snake and he always had two sidekicks beside him. He was the bully of the school. He was Mike. Spike and Targetranger are his sidekicks who sticks beside him like glue all the time. Everyday in school, Mike and his two sidekicks would go around and bully everyone they see, but they had a special target they especially like to pick on, that student is Bob. Bob is a very small and skinny boy. He is shy and afraid of many things, such as water, because he doesn't know how to swim. Bob gets bullied everyday, because he is so tiny which makes him an easy target. Although it may seem unfair that Bob gets bullied the most in his school but he has a best friend who helps him all the time. Josh is like Bob's guardian angel, he always comes to his rescue even at the last minute. When Bob gets hurt by the bullies, Josh is always the one that brings him to the nurse.

One rainy day, Bob came to school and realize that Josh was absent. All of sudden, he feels very scared. He feels smaller than he already is. Everywhere Bob walks, he feels like Mike is hiding in the lockers ready to jump out at him. It was a very long day for Bob.

When Mike found out that Josh was sick at home today, he feels extremely happy and excited because he can finally bully Bob without getting stopped by Josh. Today is a good day for Mike. He immediately starts to plan what he will do to Bob that day. Mike knew that Bob was afraid of water, so he comes up with an evil plan.

Bob was walking home by the river after the dismissal bell finally went off. It was still raining, but Bob felt very happy that he made it through the day without Josh and didn't even get bullied! He didn't even see Mike and his sidekicks today! It started raining harder, but a smile spread across his face like butter. Just as he was thinking about how lucky he was today, someone tapped him on the shoulders. Bob turned around realized his worst nightmare was standing in front of him. His knees began to shake like he was standing in an earthquake.

"Well, well, well, look who it is!" Mike smirked. "If it isn't teeny, tiny Bob who's got nobody to save him! It's raining, but that doesn't ruin my day, because today is a really good day for me, I can finally bully you without any interruptions from your little friend, Josh!"

Bob turned to run, but Spike and Targetranger were standing behind him.

"No, please don't hurt me!" Bob pleaded, "I can give you anything you want, just please stop bullying me!!!"

"Huh, you think I'm giving up this great chance of bullying you? In you dreams baby!" Mike threw his head back and laughed like a crazy scientist. Mike and his sidekicks began to step closer to Bob, cornering him. Bob had to keep backing up, he looked around for help, but the field was as empty as a classroom after school.

His feet start to shake violently, his head was dizzy, like he just got off of the merry-go-round. Bob thought he was going to faint. He kept backing up until he was at the edge of the river. The river was moving fast because of the rain and wind. This was it. He was going to die.

"No one here to save you today!!!!" Mike stuck his hand out and pushed Bob hard on the shoulders. Bob felt pain on his body and all of sudden he was standing on nothing. He was falling. Everything was in slow motion. He looked up to see Mike, Spike and Targetranger running away. Bob falls into the river with a big splash! The water was as cold as ice and he felt his leg hit a sharp rock, he yelled in pain.

As Mike was running away from the crime scene, a voice inside of him started to say "Why would you even do that to your classmate, what did he ever do to you? He's going to die, and it's going to be your fault!" This made him stop running. He turned around and started to run towards the river.

Bob was surprised to see Mike. Mike was a good swimmer, he jumped in the river and saved Bob easily by pulling him to shore. He carried him inside to the school nurse. "Sorry." Mike whispered to Bob and he left Bob with the nurse.

After the accident at the river, Mike knew deep inside that he shouldn't bully anyone anymore, instead he should be a good guy. He knew that many people were scared of him, and he didn't like that feeling. People would hide or run away as soon as they see Mike coming. He wanted to change. He wanted to have people actually like him and not scared of him.

In just a month, Mike became the most popular person in the school, not popular because he was a big, mean bully, but because he changed into a kind and helpful person. Mike and Bob never spoke of the accident to anyone. They never became friends either, but every time they walk passed each other in the hallways, they would always smile and nod, this was an amazing change for the both of them. The school was a happier place for everyone.
