Worst Day Ever

"Stop playing around! Do you want to have detention again Sara!", Mrs. McNere screamed.  "Me?" I said. "I don't know, is there another Sara in this room?" he sarcastically said. Well, it took me a second to think about this. Honestly, I had no idea if there was another Sara in the room. I didn't really know a lot of people in this school. " Ummm, I don't know. Is there?" Apparently this was not the answer he wanted because his face started getting red like a lobster and he pointed to the door which meant detention.

"Again?", Mrs...( I have no idea what her name is) said. Mrs. something was the detention teacher, this is the second time that I have seen her today and I already hated her. The first time I was in detention was because Sara Mackingham (who I do actually know) tripped me during lunch and I spilled my chocolate milk all over the new assistant principals white dress. It was an accident and Sara was the one who tripped me (on purpose even though she denied it). Last detention seemed to go by so fast because I actually had something to think about, this time my mind was blank. Although ninety percent of the time my mind was blank and it seemed that I have something to think about every time I have to go to detention and then as soon as I walk through the door of detention I blank out.  ......Wait, a minute.....  Josh ...Kramer ...was ..in ..detention. ...JOSH KRAMER WAS IN DETENTION!!!! He is never in detention and normally he is surrounded by a wild pack of girls. My mom tells me that I don't really know him and he could be mean. I guess she could be right and he could be mean and no matter how many times I tell myself that, I still like him. I mean, honestly, who doesn't want to go on a date with the most popular guy in the school?

I knew I had to make a move and ask him on a " study date ", but honestly, what could I do? Option number one: I throw a paper airplane with a note on it in the very few seconds that the detention teacher isn't looking. Why that won't work : I don't know how to make a paper airplane. Option number two: I wait until my detention is over then I ask him. Why that won't work: I get out of detention before him and I can't wait around after school because I have to go to cheer practice with my mom. I decided to do the best option possible: Do. Nothing. Why that won't work: ( It's obvious ). This was lame, for a month now I had tried to just TALK to him and now there was a completely open spot and-  my thought was cut off by the announcements-"Sara Fickle, please come to the principals office. I repeat, Sara Fickle, come to the principals office". I was Sara Fickle! The detention teacher looked at me and and motioned towards the door. I quickly walked out of detention.

What did I do? I don't understand why I am being called to the office. It wouldn't be because my parents wanted to pick me up earlier for cheer practice because cheer practice is a five-minute drive and there was twenty-five minutes left in eighth period. My grades are all A's and I have only been tardy to a class once. WHAT COULD IT BE? When I finally finished walking the walk of shame to the office the principal was outside the door with a smile on her face. That's when I got confused. Why would she have a smile on her face? She opened the door for me and I quietly walked in and sat down. She smiled at me and said "Congratulation! You have been voted as our top cheerleader!". "What? When did that happen?".  She laughed but honestly I didn't see what was so funny.

A few minutes later I walked out of her office and headed back to class. Apparently there was a cheerleader vote about which cheerleader was the best cheerleader. She said since I was voted the most, there was going to be a school party and she wanted ME to set it up. The problem was, I wasn't organised at all! The reason she wanted one of the cheerleaders to set it up was because we set up a huge bake sale for the school a few months ago. But I wasn't the leader of the bake sale! All I had to do was sweep the crumbs that people dropped! But before I could protest, she had sent me off to class.

There was ten minutes of class and we had some free time. Everybody else was on their phones, honestly, the entire time I was just thinking about what the principal said- "I wan't you to set it up!". I had no idea what I was going to do! Where was the party going to be at? What were they going to eat? Where was I going to get all the food!?
